The trip to Latin America is long. At 9:30 a.m. on May 17, the plane took off from the Beijing airport and climbed upwards, just entering a flat flight state at an altitude of 10,000 meters, and the meeting convened by Premier Li Keqiang began.
Meetings on the cloud are really different. The prime minister's posture, well, seemed a little more relaxed than usual. Most of the attendees did not wear suits and shoes, or even wear sports and leisure clothes.
But this does not detract from the specifications of the meeting. Many of the faces under the background of sports and leisure clothing are already familiar to the public: the General Office of the State Council, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Agriculture, the National Research Office and other ministerial-level officials.
As for the topic, of course, it revolves around the main line of this trip to Latin America: international production capacity cooperation, including consultations and agreements with countries.
In the tea cup on the conference table, the tea was a little dangling. The tone of Li Keqiang's conversation with the ministers was much higher than usual, so as to overshadow the roar of the engine that had been haunting the venue. The porthole visor pushed open a small slit, and out of the window was a transparent sky dome, clouds spread under the wings. These details are always a reminder of the special features of this meeting, after all, it is above the "high altitude" of 10,000 meters.
The "altitude" of the meeting, which perfectly matches the flight altitude of the special aircraft. The Prime Minister not only analyzed the significance of production capacity cooperation between China and Latin America, but also further elaborated on the global significance of international production capacity cooperation to get out of the current world economic downturn. Slightly different from previous foreign visits, the prime minister particularly emphasized the value of people-to-people and spiritual exchanges, and told the significance of the deep integration between two distant continents, two emerging economies that have developed side by side, and two different civilizations.
In fact, Li Keqiang's visit spanned 6 countries and 7 cities, running through the eastern and western hemispheres, the northern and southern hemispheres, lasted 13 days, traveled more than 50,000 kilometers, flew more than 60 hours in the air alone, and took off and landed 16 times by special planes - it can be called a "Chinese streamer" around the earth.
After all, there are more than 60 hours of time in the air, and the prime minister will certainly not let these times be "idle". He also called the ministers to a separate meeting at a long table covered with maps, and as for what he called "daily work"—approving documents—it was proper, and the day did not fall.
After the end of the 13-day trip, it proved that the meeting on the plane was extremely "efficient": China and the four Latin American countries reached a framework agreement on production capacity cooperation, promoted cooperation in major projects including the two-ocean railway and the two-ocean tunnel, and signed more than 70 cooperation documents in the fields of energy and minerals, infrastructure construction, scientific and technological innovation; in addition, there was a 30 billion US dollar fund specially set up for China-Latin America production capacity cooperation, and so on. In the words of one of the accompanying ministers, the visit was not only remarkable in the short term, but also "immeasurable" in the long term.
According to the outside world, the Chinese premier's visit has pushed China's relations with Latin America to a new height.
