Directed by Stephen Hopkins, Ghost of the Night tells the story of Engineer Johns, who is attacked by two man-eating lions while he arrives in Africa to build a bridge, and then fights with the help of a hunter (Michael Douglas). Based on the real event "Chavo Cannibal Lion" that occurred at the end of the 19th century, the thrilling atmosphere is fully displayed in the film, making people feel as if they are in a mysterious and primitive grassland.
