Many people have heard the two poems "Qingfeng is illiterate, why turn the book haphazardly", knowing that these 10 words once caused the author of the poem to bury his life, which can be called "sending death poem".
But do you know who the author of this poem is?

Qingfeng couldn't read, so why did he flip through the books?
His name is Xu Jun.
Xu Jun, Zi Guanqing, a native of Kunshan, Jiangsu Province. Xu Jun came from a famous family in Kunshan. His uncle was Gu Yanwu, the great Confucian of the early Qing Dynasty; his father Xu Qianxue had passed the Tanhua Examination, and the official had passed the Examination to the Left Capital Imperial History and the Punishment Department Shangshu; the second uncle Xu Bingyi was also born in Tanhua and was an official to the official Shilang; the third uncle Xu Yuanwen had passed the Examination for the Title, and the official to the Wenhuadian University scholar and the head of the Hanlin Academy.
Xu Jun has been brilliant since he was a child, and he studied under the famous local teacher Zhou Yunjie in Kunshan. Zhou Yunsei was very strict with the students, which made Xu Jun resentful. One year, after Xu Jun took the exam, he went to Beijing to participate in the examination held by the Ministry of Etiquette. Zhou Yunsei accompanied him. However, when they were walking in the middle of the road, Xu Jun boiled soup with croton beans and poisoned the teacher to death. When the people in the capital heard about this, they gave Xu Jun a nickname, called "Medicine Buddha".
Qing Dynasty imperial examination
Because his father and uncle were officials in the imperial court, Xu Jun poisoned the teacher and did not receive any punishment, but only delayed the test for several years. In 1713, after Xu Jun and others had subsided, he went to Beijing again to participate in the examination, and in one fell swoop, he was admitted as a jinshi and was appointed as a Shujishi of Hanlin Yuan.
In 1730, Xu Jun, in a recital, mistakenly wrote the word "Majesty" as "狴", which annoyed the Yongzheng Emperor. The Yongzheng Emperor dismissed Xu Jun from his post and then raided his home. This copy of the house, there is a big problem.
Yongzheng Emperor
Xu Jun is a cultural person, able to write poetry and good writing, usually wrote a large number of poems, edited into a book of poems. The case-handling personnel focused on examining the poetry collection and found that there were many prohibited poems in it. The two poems mentioned at the beginning of this article, "Qingfeng is illiterate, why turn the book haphazardly", are among them.
These two poems are from the poem "Untitled", the full text is: "Mo Dao fluorescent light is small, still with the heart of the night." Qingfeng couldn't read, so why did he flip through the books? This is a piece of scenery that Xu Jun casually chanted in the dead of night, ridiculing the scene of the wind blowing the book. However, the case-handling personnel believed that Xu Jun was satirizing the Qing rulers for not having culture, and they also had to pretend to have culture.
In addition, the case-handling personnel found two poems in Xu Jun's poetry collection: "Mingyue has feelings and cares for me, and Qingfeng has no intention of leaving no one behind." This is a farewell poem. At that time, Xu Jun met a friend in Beijing. After they had a drink under the moon, his friend sent him back. Xu Jun saw the scene of Yuelang Fengqing, poetic, and wrote two poems: "Mingyue has affection for me, and Qingfeng has no intention of leaving no one behind", expressing the deep friendship between friends. The case-handling personnel believe that the "bright moon has feelings" and "the breeze is unintentional" here is to remember the Ming Dynasty and ridicule the Qing Dynasty, which is really a "great rebellion."
Mingyue still cares for me, and Qingfeng has no intention of leaving no one behind
After interrogation, the case-handling personnel formed a report: "The Punishment Department and other yamen deliberative performances, the former Shu Ji Shi Xu Jun, crazy and ulterior motives, rebellious nature, in the poetry manuscript, created a mocking and rebellious remarks, should be in accordance with the great rebellion and disrespect, the manuscript should be burned." The Yongzheng Emperor approved the report, and Xu Jun was beheaded and lost his life. All the manuscripts of his poetry were burned.
Since then, people have described "Qingfeng is illiterate, why turn over books" as a "death poem".
Then, why did the Yongzheng Emperor seize on xu Jun's few poems and punish him severely? This is not to say that the Yongzheng Emperor had any personal grudges with Xu Jun. In fact, the Yongzheng Emperor only wanted to divert the internal contradictions of the imperial family by handling this case.
Since the Yongzheng Emperor succeeded to the throne, he has been facing tremendous pressure.
On the one hand, whether it is the imperial court or the people, there are rumors that the Yongzheng Emperor "has the right position", and even evolved into "the Kangxi Emperor was originally going to pass on the throne to the Fourteenth Prince, but as a result, the Yongzheng Emperor secretly changed it to 'Pass on the Four Princes'" Such a magical story made the Yongzheng Emperor shine.
On the other hand, the Yongzheng Emperor severely cracked down on a group of political enemies who competed with him for the position of emperor, including the Kangxi Emperor's third son Yin Yu, the eighth son of the Emperor Yin Yu, the ninth son of the Emperor Yin Yu, the twelfth son of the Emperor Yin Yu, and the fourteenth son of the Emperor Yin Yu, and was imprisoned. There are many princes who are even imprisoned to death. The Yongzheng Emperor's cruel treatment of his brothers caused great criticism inside and outside the imperial court, leading to a huge split in the internal relations of the imperial family.
In order to alleviate the pressure and divert the contradictions, the Yongzheng Emperor took some measures. Cracking down on the case of "Qingfeng is illiterate and why is he flipping through books" is also included. The Yongzheng Emperor handled this case to give a new outlet inside and outside the government and the public, and the members of the imperial family were able to "turn the muzzle of the gun and unite with the outside world", which to a certain extent united the people's hearts and eased the internal contradictions.
Time is speechless, but it will erase all wounds. With the passage of time, the Yongzheng Emperor's treatment of his brothers was gradually forgotten by everyone. However, when people go through the history books, they will occasionally turn out the case of "Qingfeng is illiterate, why turn the book randomly" from the dusty past, and remember the name of Xu Jun, the "unlucky egg".
