Ancient Egyptian texts describe how The ancestors of Egypt came here from an island destroyed by a flood in the Atlantic Ocean.
Several ancient Egyptian texts, including the Book of death, the Pyramids, and the Hymn of Ramses IV, tell the story of the ten kings of Egypt. One of them is The Founder of Egyptian Civilization, Turter, who was born in a distant Western country, a country separated by waters.
Other texts refer to this ancient land as the "Island of the Setting Sun". To this day, Ireland is still known as the land of the setting sun. In Egyptian literature, another name for this land is "urani", and its etymology is very close to the ancient Irish name "erin".

And, as you might expect, from an early, advanced civilization, an estimated hundred thousand Stone Age buildings still stand, including the most spectacular Stonehenge on Earth. Similar structures (mounds, stone mounds, stone circles, stone pits, passage tombs, etc.) have been found all over the world. It seems that the whole world, not just Ireland, has an ancient history that is shocking and forgotten.

Plato's Atlantis is an island in the Atlantic Ocean with a fertile circular plain surrounded by mountains that stretch to sea. Ireland is the only island on Earth with these characteristics.
Plato's Atlantis has a mild climate and produces two crops per year. Ireland has one of the mildest climates in the world and is still producing two crops a year: winter wheat and spring wheat.
Plato's Atlantis had many hot and cold springs. Ireland has 27 hot springs and thousands of cold springs, known locally as the "Holy Springs".
Plato's Atlantis is a combination of two separate places: the island of Atlantis (Ireland) and the city of Atlantis (City of Sain, Mauritania).

Plato describes how Atlantis was "swallowed up by the sea." It was a huge tsunami that destroyed Stone Age Ireland. In fact, every culture on Earth has a story about the Great Flood. What makes the Irish unique is that they had some record of their lives before, during and after the Flood. Ancient Irish chronicles even record the names of flood survivors who managed to escape by boat or reach the highlands. On the west coast of Ireland, there is folklore about a huge tsunami 12,000 years ago. A similar story takes place in Iona, Scotland.
Back in 2009, there was an exciting discovery at Fano Beach in North Clare. Early human settlements dating back 6,000 years have been discovered. Archaeologists believe this is evidence of the Irish tsunami.

Scientists used to think that Ireland was completely frozen during the Ice Age and therefore not habitable until about 10,000 years ago. Recent evidence shatters this assumption.
The Pleistocene ice age lasted 2.5 million years and ended around 11,600 years ago. The latest research shows that even at the peak of the Ice Age, the ice sheet did not completely cover Ireland. This explains why there are no drum-shaped ridges in central Ireland.
Another study from Norway finally proved that the warm Atlantic Gulf Current did not stop during the Ice Age as previously thought. This suggests that Ireland's ice age was not as severe as previously estimated.

However, this view was made before the latest discovery that Ireland was habitable during the Ice Age.

Nabuta Salt Lake is one of the oldest stonehenges in the world, and its construction predates the Egyptian civilization that followed it.
The Stone Circle is also known as the "Druid Circle" and, as mentioned earlier, is found in almost every country on Earth.
