On the evening of the 28th, at the 44th World Heritage Conference held in Fuzhou, China, the application project of Chongqing Wulipo National Nature Reserve (Shennongjia World Natural Heritage Boundary Adjustment) passed the review and officially became a World Natural Heritage Site.

Wulipo Nature Reserve is located in the northeast of Wushan County, Chongqing City, located at the junction of Chongqing City and Hubei Province, east and west of Badong County, Hubei Province, Shennongjia Forest District, the lowest altitude of 175 meters, the highest altitude of 2680 meters, the total area of 35276.6 hectares, with a very high forest coverage rate, rich biodiversity.
Wulipo has a complex terrain, dense ravines, undulating mountains, and a huge height difference, and there are very rich wild animal and plant resources. In Wulipo, there are 447 species of terrestrial wild vertebrates, with golden eagles soaring in the blue sky, forest musk running in the forest, birds singing in the mountains, and red-bellied golden pheasants blooming and dazzling. Not only animals, but also many ancient, relict, endemic, rare and endangered plants can be found in Wulipo, including 3001 species of vascular plants, 2790 species of seed plants, 211 species of ferns, Metasequoia, Ginkgo biloba, Juntong, yew, etc. rest here, sword leaf shrimp ridge orchid, huilan and other orchids quietly bloom.
It is reported that the Wulipo Nature Reserve application project was officially launched in 2017, and after nearly 5 years, it has cut through thorns and thorns all the way, and finally realized the "dream of applying for heritage".
