Look at the fire car
Ruo Bing (Sichuan)
As a child, I ran very far to see the train! The children in the countryside don't even see cars, not to mention the excitement of watching the train.
Jumping and running with their friends, walking for more than ten kilometers, seeing sleepers and rails, they all cheered, walking thong steps on the tracks for a while, jumping from one sleeper to another, measuring the width and distance of the sleepers. In the distance, we saw a wrench with a small red flag patrolling over, and we ran away, and he roared a few times to pay attention to safety, and then slowly walked farther ahead, only to hear the long aftersound of his fading nail hammer hitting the railroad tracks.
In the autumn of October, the afternoon sun shines coldly, and there is no warmth, only the oleander next to the railway is still blooming with white, pink, and red autumn colors. Some winds, blowing oleander leaves rustling, the clouds in the sky, changing different postures, doing different strange expressions, the most like the slightest white cloud, like a tapest fabric woven in the blue sky. I love autumn, I like the tranquility of autumn, I like the maturity of autumn, I like the colors of autumn...
To see the train, the most exciting thing is to lie next to the tracks, lie on your side, listen to the vibration of the impending train from the surface, and predict the distance of the train. At that time, the train was basically a coal-burning steam locomotive, and there would be a loud roar and a long whistle in the distance; several small partners, all leaning over the ground and pricking their ears to listen, the countryside of Akino was so quiet that they could hardly hear the insects, and suddenly a small partner screamed loudly: The train is coming! It is estimated that the train is still five kilometers away, and it will not arrive until a quarter of an hour away. First we didn't believe it, we didn't despise it; it wasn't until later that we felt the earth shake and heard the roar and whistle that we were convinced of his superpowers. There was another cheer, and I saw white smoke dragging the front of the long train carriage into the eye, the bus was usually green, the freight car was basically black; the trains we saw were mostly trucks, there were tank cars pulling oil, there were trains pulling coal, and there were also trains transporting timber with logs towering high on the carriages.
The train roared and whistled away, we counted the number of carriages section by section, always felt that the train was too fast, the number was not clear, some said 33 knots, some said 32 knots, some said 29 knots; arguing for a while, no one really wanted to win, because too fast, they did not confirm whether they were counting accurately. Waiting for the roar and whistle of the train can not be heard, the white smoke of the steam has dissipated, the sun is about to go down, the little friends reluctantly embark on the way home, but also jump all the way, waiting for the starlight and moonlight to sprinkle the old house next to the barn yard, before entering the door.
Later, I went to study in other places, and every winter and summer vacation, I survived the long journey on the train, and I felt that the train was so slow; today, the high-speed rail is popular, and the time space between cities has been shortened; but every time I travel, I still feel that the train is very slow. As A child, the train I saw was the fastest.
