"I want to tell more people about my experience and remind everyone not to be deceived."
On the morning of November 4
Ms. Zhang, who lives in Wuhan's Economic Development Zone, said
It turned out, just a dozen hours ago
Ms. Zhang was deceived by scammers posing as police officers
If it is not the community police to come to the door in time to dissuade
The consequences will be unimaginable
Here's the thing
At about 16:00 on the afternoon of November 3, the early warning instruction of the Anti-Fraud Center of the Wuhan Economic Development District Public Security Branch of the Wuhan Municipal Public Security Bureau showed that a resident in the jurisdiction was at risk of being defrauded. Ding Wenjun, a police officer at the Hubin police station who received the order, and Zhang Kang, an auxiliary police officer, quickly contacted the person concerned, but the phone could not be called at all, and the police judged that the scammer must be talking on the phone and must find himself before the party transferred the money. Fortunately, the police contacted Ms. Zhang's husband, Mr. Yu, in time through inquiries, and it was unfortunate that Mr. Yu was not at home on a business trip in other places.
"Let's go! We immediately rushed to Ms. Zhang's house. Ding Wenjun and Zhang Kang rushed to the community where Ms. Zhang lived.
It wasn't until the police came to the door that Ms. Zhang woke up to the fact that the person on the phone who claimed to be a police officer of the Public Security Bureau turned out to be a liar. Ms. Zhang recalled that she had never encountered such a thing before, and when she was fooled by the scammers, her brain was confused, and she followed the requirements of the other party step by step.
Ms. Zhang told the police that in the afternoon, she was resting at home when she received a strange phone call, the other party first claimed to be a staff member of the Jianghan District Household Registration Center, and also reported a police number. Ms. Zhang did not have time to inquire, the other party reported a string of ID card numbers on the phone, this number is indeed the old ID card that Ms. Zhang used before, because there is a problem of heavy numbers, and the new ID card has been re-applied for in the public security organs.
Hearing this, Ms. Zhang couldn't help but feel nervous. The other party said that Ms. Zhang was suspected of illegal entry, needed to go to the household registration center, in accordance with the requirements of epidemic prevention, now first conduct a telephone investigation of Ms. Zhang, and then transfer the phone to the Harbin police, asking Ms. Zhang to report the case to the local police according to the content of her account.
Before She could figure out what was going on, Ms. Zhang heard the phone forwarding voice from a man with a northeastern accent who claimed to be a police officer at the Harbin City Public Security Bureau in Heilongjiang Province and reported his police number to Ms. Zhang.
The man said on the phone that considering that Ms. Zhang lived far away, she would then make a record of Ms. Zhang through QQ video, and then let Ms. Zhang add two QQ numbers, one name was "Video" and the other was called "Record".
At this moment, Ms. Zhang is still operating according to the requirements of the other party, and does not suspect the other party at all.
Ms. Zhang said that after the video was connected, there was really a man in a police uniform, and the other party once again introduced himself as a police officer of the Harbin Municipal Public Security Bureau, but the "police" asked Ms. Zhang to re-download a software called "Feishu" for video dialogue, and said that it was done to protect Ms. Zhang and prevent being defrauded. At the same time, the other party asked Ms. Zhang to find an absolutely quiet environment, and it was best not to have anyone else present.
Ms. Zhang completed the software download according to the other party's instructions again, and the other party asked Ms. Zhang for family information and said that the record had been completed. At this time, the "police" said that Ms. Zhang had a huge amount of illegally transferred funds in a bank account, suspected of money laundering, and Ms. Zhang was very confused, because she did not have an account with the bank at all. Without waiting for Ms. Zhang to explain, the "police" said that Ms. Zhang's case was somewhat complicated and needed to ask their leaders.
At the end of the phone, Ms. Zhang heard a knock on the door inside, as well as the words reported to the superiors, and after a while, a person who claimed to be the leader of the public security bureau told Ms. Zhang through the "Flying Book" video chat that she needed to download a special browser and enter the link "23.27.94.67" so that she could see what crime she had committed and the case number.
"I don't know this person, and I don't know what money laundering is." Ms. Zhang's heart fluttered and jumped, because after entering the so-called "Ministry of Public Security website" page, Ms. Zhang really saw a notice with her suspected money laundering written on it.
At this moment, Ding Wenjun, a community police officer, and Zhang Kang, an auxiliary police officer, knocked on the door of Ms. Zhang's house, "You don't believe those who pretend to be policemen, we are the real public security police." "Almost, Ms. Zhang will transfer the 270,000 yuan of hard-earned savings to the other party's safe account." When Ms. Zhang returned to her senses, her qq number had been blocked by the other party, and this strange phone could not be called.
Under the hand-in-hand guidance of the police, Ms. Zhang installed and registered the app of the National Anti-Fraud Center on her mobile phone. Ms. Zhang said that in the future, she will pay more attention to the anti-fraud tips issued by the police, and use her own personal experience to wake up the people around her.
