It is understood that the Qilu Petrochemical-Shengli Oilfield CCUS project is China's first million-ton CCUS (carbon capture utilization and storage) project, which is composed of two parts: carbon dioxide capture and carbon dioxide flooding and storage of Shengli Oilfield, and is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 1 million tons per year after completion, which is equivalent to planting nearly 9 million trees and nearly 600,000 economic cars for a year, and can also achieve 2.965 million tons of oil increase.
The ccus team of the second fertilizer plant of Qilu Petrochemical, which undertook the project, studied the important instructions of the general secretary while refining and optimizing the construction plan, and forced the progress in strict accordance with the time node. On the evening of November 4, the reporter saw at the project construction site that the preparatory work before the construction of civil engineering, pile foundation, and steel reinforcement in the distribution room was in full swing.
In fact, as early as a few months ago, the Second Fertilizer Plant of Qilu Petrochemical took advantage of the favorable opportunity of overhaul to complete the reserved interface of 24 pipelines of public works; completed the geological exploration of the project in advance, completed the bearing capacity test of the underground soil layer, and provided data support for the follow-up foundation design and project construction. The project team also used the National Day holiday to verify the technical parameters of the technical agreement of the project process package, equipment purchase agreement, etc. one by one, and repeatedly discussed and calculated the key equipment data to minimize the problems in the equipment manufacturing process and the later on-site installation and shorten the project construction cycle.
Sun Yu, head of the CCUS project team and manager of the second fertilizer plant, told reporters that the general secretary is so concerned about the construction of the CCUS project, which makes the whole team excited, and most of the people have been "nailed" to the scene. They practice wall-chart operations, hold a promotion meeting every morning, all parties find and analyze existing problems, and coordinate and solve them in a timely manner; every afternoon, they hold a review meeting to review the quality and progress of construction, and for those that do not meet the construction progress and quality requirements, coordinate the relevant units to correct and complete them within a limited time.
Sun Yu also revealed that the ccus project is only the beginning of Qilu Petrochemical's carbon reduction and carbon reduction action, and in the next step, they will also increase cooperation with relevant scientific research units, explore the application of technologies such as carbon dioxide preparation of high-value chemicals, find new ways to make in-depth use of carbon dioxide resources, and contribute more to the realization of carbon peak carbon neutrality goals on schedule.
