T-ARA's Park Joo-yeon decided to quit MBN's "Miss Back".
A hybrid of documentaries and variety shows, Miss Back tells the story of a group of "forgotten" female singers hoping for a second chance to succeed. The cast includes Stellar's (Kim Jae-young), Wassup's (Yoon Ri-jin), after school's (Oh Yi-rin), 9muses' (Se-ro), Crayon Pop's (Park Hye-kyung), Dal Shabet's (Park So-bin), and the ark's Jung You-jin. The host is veteran singer Bai Zhiying, who serves as a producer and life mentor for young singers.
On the October 29 show, Park Joo-yeon announced that she would leave the show early. She said: "After a long discussion with the producers and my agency, I decided to say goodbye to (the show) and leave things in a beautiful goodbye.
Explaining her decision to step down after only four episodes, the singer recalled: On the first day of filming, I met my peers who would be on the show with me, and I was very happy and excited to see them again after such a long time. That's how we started shooting.
Of course, in my career, I have also faced my own pain, suffered my own emotional trauma, Park Continued, but I found that the pain and trauma experienced by others is beyond my imagination. I learned that these young women are going through tremendous difficulties and I don't want to compete with them and I don't want to take that opportunity away while they're struggling.
She added: "Although I have said goodbye in the end, I hope that everyone will continue to cheer for Sera and the little sisters - all seven people - who will find a lifetime of singing through "Miss Back". Cheer them on and applaud them until the last moment.
