Strive for the cause of quantum communication for a lifetime
Zhou Lei, a 40-year-old party member, is the project director of Keda Shield Quantum Technology Co., Ltd. Since 2009, he has been working as a postdoctoral fellow at the National Research Center for Microscale Physical Sciences in Hefei and engaged in quantum communication technology, and with his enthusiasm and innovative spirit, he has been struggling in the front line of quantum communication technology research and practical development for twelve years, contributing to the cause of quantum communication.

Undertake the mission to be a high-quality scientific and technological worker
Zhou Lei always kept firmly in mind the original intention and mission of a Communist Party member, strengthened theoretical study, and reminded himself to be a qualified party member and a competent scientific and technological worker. In his work, he was down-to-earth, tenacious and hardworking, giving full play to the vanguard and exemplary role of Communist Party members on the scientific and technological front in the new period, and contributing his strength to the cause of quantum communication.
Since 2010, Zhou Lei, as the main technical leader and project executive leader of the project, has completed major national, provincial and municipal scientific and technological innovation projects such as metropolitan quantum communication networking technology for many times, and has been unanimously affirmed by industry experts, and has been awarded the main members of the ninth batch of "115" industrial innovation team in Anhui Province, the main members of the second batch and the fifth batch of "228" industrial innovation team in Hefei, the ninth batch of Professional and technical top talents in Hefei, and the first prize of the military science and technology progress in 2015. 2018 Anhui Science and Technology Award First Prize, Senior Engineer (Electronic Information Major) and other honors.

Overcome difficulties and strive to be the vanguard of the quantum technology industry
Quantum communication is an emerging field of science and technology, but also a multidisciplinary interdisciplinary field, professional and highly technical. Zhou Lei often uses his spare time to learn the theory and business knowledge in the fields of cryptography, data transmission, optical communications, multimedia, project management, engineering construction and other fields, improves his technical breadth and depth, and strives to design and develop better quantum communication products.
In 2010, Keda Shield undertook the work of "Product Development and Construction of Hefei Metropolitan Quantum Communication Experimental Demonstration Network", which is an important step in expanding the quantum communication network from the local area network to the metropolitan area network. Zhou Lei served as the main technical member of the project and the person in charge of the new key control system.
In order to ensure the smooth development and launch of the new system, Zhou Lei carefully summarized the experience of past products and mature information security systems, repeatedly demonstrated and iterated and improved the plan. After a year or so of unremitting efforts day and night, various problems encountered in the development of the new system were solved one by one, and the key control system suitable for large-scale and networked quantum communication systems was successfully launched, ensuring the smooth opening of the world's largest metropolitan quantum secure communication network at that time.
Since then, Comrade Zhou Lei has continued to lead the technical research team to continuously adopt new technologies to iterate and improve the key control system, and applied to multiple metropolitan area networks and industry networks, at the same time, Comrade Zhou Lei has also led the technical team to develop advanced products such as BBO small entanglement source, multi-channel conformance counter, quantum cryptography teaching and scientific research system, quantum key management terminal, multi-channel high-speed narrow pulse light source system, and the first network data encryption machine using quantum key distribution technology in China.

Do not forget the original heart to be a strivers who take root in the front line
Since working in Keda Shield, Zhou Lei has successively served as the chief engineer of the company's R&D and production department, the chief engineer of the testing department, the chief engineer of the product management department, and the manager of the technical service department. Whether it is in the front-line position of on-site joint investigation and testing, or the core R & D management position, Zhou Lei has always maintained a serious, serious and responsible attitude, and while leading the team, he has tried his best to do a good job in the various tasks he undertakes.
When on-site joint mediation and testing, it is necessary to face a variety of complex working environments and endless problems. When encountering large-scale and long-term on-site joint investigation and testing work, Zhou Lei will take the lead and go to the front line to work with team members to tackle key problems. In 2012, Keda Shield undertook the work of "Research on High-Security Communication Guarantee System Based on Quantum Communication" of Shandong Province's major science and technology project. After receiving the task, Zhou Lei immediately went to the project site, simulated the application scenario with the team members, held on-site technical seminars many times, tested the system in various scenarios, and finally completed it smoothly, providing communication security for important national conference activities and receiving commendations from relevant departments.

In the front-line work of wide-area networks such as the "Beijing-Shanghai Trunk Line" and "Wuhe Trunk Line" for quantum confidential communications, as well as the front-line construction of metropolitan networks such as Shanghai Lujiazui Financial Network, Hefei Quantum Government Affairs Network, and Wuhan Metropolitan Area Network, Zhou Lei has always been on the post, taking root in the frontline, and giving play to the vanguard and exemplary role of party members.
In the face of the broad future of quantum technology applications, Zhou Lei said that he will continue to adhere to the cause of quantum communication, continue to improve his own technology and business level, carry out technological innovation and product development, and work with his peers to realize the ideal of "quantum technology industry serving the country".
