The Marca newspaper selected the five national derby moments.

1. Raul silenced Camp Nou

In October 1999, in the last Spanish national derby of the 20th century, Real Madrid played away to Barca, and head coach John Toshak was under great pressure, the team suffered a series of bad results, Toshak was later sacked, but his team scored a point at Camp Nou. In the 86th minute of the game, Raul equalized and the audience was silent. Kluivert was earlier sent off by the referee for a red card in a fierce confrontation.

2. Figo and the Pig Head Incident

Will this be the most iconic event in the history of the National Derby? Figo had done an incredible job the previous summer, moving from Barca to Real Madrid. When he returned to Camp Nou, Barça fans made it clear to him that one Barça fan threw a pig's head at Figo. Barca won 2-0, with Luis Enrique scoring his first goal.

3. Pique's 5-0 gesture

It was the first meeting between Mourinho and Guardiola as Real Madrid and Barca bosses respectively, with Barca beating Real Madrid 5-0 and Pique commemorating the moment with a gesture of extending five fingers.

4. Pepe kicks down Alves

Barca turned the tide when Pepe was shown a red card for bringing down Alves in the first leg of the 2011 Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid. Barcelona eventually won 2-0 and Mourinho was furious at the referee's decision.

5. Mourinho poked Bilanova's eye with his hand

In the summer of 2011, after the last Champions League match, tensions rose in the national derby. The La Liga tiebreaker was like a war, and Ozil, Marcelo, Villa and others were very excited, and Mourinho stabbed Barca assistant coach Villanova in the eye. Barca won 3-2.
