The resignation of Lebanon's prime minister raises concerns that Saudi Arabia and Kuwait have urged citizens to evacuate

According to foreign media reports, Saudi Arabia called on its citizens to leave Lebanon as soon as possible on the 9th, and another Gulf country, Kuwait, followed up to announce the news. Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri's abrupt announcement of his resignation during a recent visit to Saudi Arabia has strained the country's diplomatic and domestic situation.

According to reports, the Saudi Foreign Ministry said that due to the situation in the Lebanese Republic, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia requires citizens who are visiting or residing in Lebanon to leave as soon as possible, and also advises the public not to go to the local area.

On the 4th of this month, Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri announced his resignation during a visit to Saudi Arabia and accused Iran of interfering in regional affairs and the internal affairs of Arab countries.

Lebanon has many political factions and a complex political situation. Previously, Lebanon had been unable to elect a president for more than two years due to political differences. In October 2016, it was Hariri who changed his position in favor of Aoun, the founder of the Christian party "Freedom patriotic movement", who was elected president and Hariri became prime minister.

Analysts believe Hariri's resignation has created uncertainty in Lebanese politics and could trigger a new round of political crisis in the country.

In addition to Saudi Arabia, the Kuwaiti side also issued a statement saying that the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs also ordered its citizens to leave Lebanon immediately.
