The film "Cross" is based on the work of the same name by well-known writers such as "Iris" and "Meteor Station wagon" such as "Iris" and "Meteor Station wagon" who won the Eiji Yoshikawa Literary Award in 2010, depicting the mental journey of a teenager who bears the wish of a suicidal teenager and spans 20 years.
One autumn in the second year of middle school, classmate Shunsuke Fujii chose to commit suicide because of bullying, leaving behind a suicide note that Sanada Yu (Keisuke Koide), who is considered a "good friend", and Nakagawa Koyuri (Fumino Kimura), whose birthday coincides with Fujii's suicide day, but they bear the idea of self-blame. Fujii's father could not forgive his classmates who watched his son commit suicide, and Fujii's mother struggled with her son's memories of his life. These people carried a heavy "cross" and constantly entangled, and began their different lives.
