The People's Daily's voice on the Taiwan issue undoubtedly represents the common aspirations of all Chinese people. With the return of Hong Kong and Macao, Taiwan, as the treasure island of the motherland, will eventually return to the motherland.
In order to thoroughly resolve the Taiwan issue and realize cross-strait reunification, we must first accomplish one major thing, that is, to completely remove Taiwan's separatist forces, which is the biggest obstacle on the road to national reunification. For a long time, the "Taiwan independence" elements headed by the Democratic Progressive Party have relied on foreigners to gain self-respect, believing that by relying on the strength of the United States and Western countries and Japan, they will be able to make the two sides of the Taiwan Strait forever divided, and even wantonly purchase US weapons and equipment in an attempt to "resist reunification by force."
At the same time, the United States, the West, and Japan, based on their unseemly strategic intentions, have also hollowed out their minds to give various kinds of support to the "Taiwan independence" separatist forces in an attempt to make China forever divided and taiwan a card that can restrain China's development. Therefore, for a long time, they have been frantically colluding with the "Taiwan independence" separatist forces and committing adultery in an attempt to form a joint force that hinders China's national reunification. As the White House has adjusted Sino-US relations in recent years and identified China as its long-term "strategic rival," the wrong signals sent by the United States and its allies to Taiwan have become more frequent and intense.
Recently, the United States and Japan have intensively issued Taiwan-related remarks that are seriously provocative to China.
On the 6th, US Secretary of the Navy Carlos del Toro shouted wildly in front of the media, "Our duty is to prevent Chinese mainland recover Taiwan." He also pointed out that the United States will continue to provide Taiwan with all the necessary defensive weapons. The next day, White House National Security Adviser Sullivan made the same argument, saying the United States would be prepared to take action to "prevent [Chinese mainland force] from closing the stage." The Pentagon and the White House have successively made such statements, which undoubtedly shows that the United States does have a plot to prevent China from realizing reunification in the Taiwan Strait, and does not rule out the use of force. What is particularly serious is that the United States' interference in Taiwan Strait affairs is not only manifested in words, but is likely to have been put into action.
A few days ago, the Wall Street Journal broke the news that a special unit of the US Marine Corps had secretly entered Taiwan to provide combat skills for the Taiwan military. It also noted that the special forces numbered about 24 people and that the operation had been going on for at least a year. For this news, the Pentagon's response was vague, so it is not excluded that there is a real thing, and it is very likely that the United States is using the method of "cutting sausages" to first enter Taiwan with a very small number of US troops, so as to test the reaction of the mainland. The seriousness of the problem lies in the fact that no matter what kind of conspiracy the United States is, this move has clearly violated China's "Anti-Secession Law" and is very likely to become the reason for the PLA's forced closure.
With the United States, a superpower, clear about the Taiwan issue, Japan, located in Northeast Asia, has become more and more crazy on the issue. Last month, responsible persons of Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Defense, and other departments repeatedly made wild remarks, saying that they would pay special attention to Taiwan affairs on the basis of the Japan-US alliance, and that once the Chinese mainland use force against Taiwan, the Japanese side would work with the United States to provide "military protection" to Taiwan. Some politicians have even thrown out the so-called "geographical proximity" argument, showing explicit territorial ambitions for Taiwan and the Diaoyu Islands.
From a geopolitical point of view, neither the United States nor Japan wants to see China achieve national reunification. From the standpoint of a White House politician, China is the most capable potential adversary in the world that challenges America's global hegemony; as for Japan, which has always had ambitions that are not proportional to its size, it is also very reluctant to see China rise. When it comes to anti-China sentiment, Japan may be stronger than the United States.
Stimulated by the words and deeds of the United States, Japan, and other powers involved in Taiwan, the separatist forces of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) that occupy Taiwan have also begun to become extremely excited. In view of the recent Chinese mainland the PLA's continuous record and dispatching military planes to patrol the airspace near the Taiwan Strait, Tsai Ing-wen went so far as to say "lessons" to the mainland without knowing the sky, saying that "[the mainland's] practices have seriously undermined regional peace and stability... The 'Beijing authorities' must exercise restraint to avoid firing their guns." ”
Recently, although the United States has shown "goodwill" to China and has also held dialogue with the Chinese side in Zurich, on the Taiwan issue, it seems to have signs of stepping up its provocations; its lackey, Japan, has also been barking wildly on Taiwan Strait affairs, and the separatist forces of the Democratic Progressive Party have also appeared to be extremely restless, and for a while, the United States, Japan, and Taiwan have created a very abnormal and dangerous atmosphere around the Taiwan Strait region. At this juncture, it is indeed necessary for the mainland to give a warning in order to carry out the necessary agitation and purification. This time, the People's Daily has issued the strongest voice on the Taiwan issue, which should make these politicians who are trying to play with fire in Taiwan Strait affairs sober-minded. If you continue to act obstinately and do not think so, you are doomed to play with fire and self-immolation, and eventually pay an unprecedented and tragic price.
