Beijing, April 3 (Reporter Chen Ruihai) On April 3, the Organizing Committee of the Beijing International Film Festival and the Information Office of the Beijing Municipal Government jointly held the second press conference of the Ninth Beijing International Film Festival. At the press conference, 7 members of the international jury of this year's "Temple of Heaven Award" and 15 shortlisted films were announced.

Among them, the chairman of the jury is the famous American director Rob Minkov, and the six judges are Chilean director Sylvio Gaiyozzi, Chinese director Cao Baoping, Russian director Sergei Devacvoy, Chinese Hong Kong actor Liu Jialing, Iranian director Majid Majidi and British director Simon West.
In addition, according to the Organizing Committee of the Beijing International Film Festival, this year's "Temple of Heaven Award" received a total of 775 films from 85 countries and regions, an increase from 659 in the previous edition. Among them, there are 107 domestic films and 668 overseas films (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan).
After layers of screening, 15 films were shortlisted, from 20 countries and regions. Among them, there are 3 domestic films and 12 overseas films.
The reporter learned that the opening and closing ceremonies of the Ninth Beijing International Film Festival will be held in Beijing on April 13 and 20, respectively. The opening film is the first co-production between China and Kazakhstan, "The Musician", which tells the story of Chinese musician Xian Xinghai. The closing film is the Indian film Love Zero in Bollywood, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. The Temple of Heaven Award will be held in Beijing from April 11 to 20.
