Synopsis: The introverted and calm Joel Barry (Kim Carey) meets the frank and casual Clementine Krooski (Kate Winslet) at a party, and the two become lovers. Like the average couple, their days are spent in sweetness and quarrels.
On Valentine's Eve 2004, when Joel carefully prepared gifts and came to clementine for an argument not long ago, he was surprised to find that clementine didn't remember him at all. It turned out that the impulsive Clementine could not bear the pain of the quarrel between the two, and went to the "Forgetting Clinic" to delete the memory of Yoel.
Joel can't forgive Clementine's willfulness and can't bear the pain of losing her, so he goes to the "Forgetting Clinic" and asks dr. Howard (Tom Wilkinson), a doctor, to erase the memory of Clementine.
The memory-erasing program begins to kick in, and Joel wanders through his memories, and he finds that the time he spent with Christine, whether painful or sweet, is precious, and he doesn't want to forget the woman he loves dearly. However, once the program is started, it cannot be reversed, and Joel can only try his best to hide Christine in the deepest memory, those corners of time that Christine did not appear in reality, in order to save this love...
