To this end, the SPC has issued judicial interpretations and normative documents to increase the punishment of crimes endangering food and drug safety, and effectively protect the people's right to life and health and "safety on the tip of the tongue". In accordance with the law, 16,000 cases of crimes involving the production and sale of toxic and harmful foods such as clenbuterol and gutter oil were concluded, 10,000 cases of food crimes that did not meet safety standards, and 22,000 cases of crimes involving the production and sale of counterfeit drugs, inferior drugs, and medical equipment that did not meet standards were concluded.

At the same time, the SPC has improved the environmental restoration responsibility system that organically links criminal sanctions, civil compensation and ecological compensation, so as to achieve "one judgment and three wins" for punishing illegal crimes, restoring the ecological environment, and compensating economic losses.

The report also mentions exploring a system of environmental protection injunctions that prohibit defendants who pollute the environment or damage resources from engaging in specific occupations or entering specific areas. Promote the reform of the jurisdiction system for environmental resources cases, build specialized institutions for environmental resources adjudication, and implement a centralized trial model for criminal, civil, and administrative cases of environmental resources.
