The classic arcade game JuJu Legend is about to land on the Switch platform

French publisher Microids has announced that they are working on a replica of a classic arcade shooter game, Juju Legend, which is expected to land on switch within this year.

Originally landed on arcade platforms in 1989, Juju Legend is a side-scrolling adventure game that tells the story of a Tarzan-like ape who saves his girlfriend Miho.

The scenes in Juju Legend are rich and varied, with jungles, volcanoes, lakes, ice fields, etc., and enemies vary from wild animals to mutated monsters. The game unfolds somewhat similarly to Demon Village, with the protagonist having a number of attack methods, including spitting at distances and a lucky rabbit that increases agility for a short time. Many items will be collected during the clearance process, including rugby helmets.

The upcoming switch version of Juju Legend will be produced by Philippe Dessoly and Pierre Adane, who worked on the 1993 SFC game Mr. Weasel.

After media and players have confirmed that this switch version of "Juju Legend" is actually a remake of "Juju Legend" announced in 2009. The project is run by the independent development group, Golgoth Studios, and Philippe dessoly is the artistic director here. The juju legend remake was originally scheduled to land on PCs and consoles in 2011, but apparently didn't finish on time, but later launched Steam Favored Light in 2012.

Later, on November 12, 2013, the project officially passed steam favor light, and later after a long period of development, it was never released.

So, after 9 years of waiting, this "Juju Legend" is finally expected to be officially completed, but the current plan is only to land on the Switch platform, and the target time is the end of 2018.
