Perhaps because the focus is different, when watching gangster movies, the most attractive thing is not those fierce fight scenes, but the definition of so-called "justice" in the story.
For example, Liu Jianming in "Infernal Affairs", he is an undercover agent sent by a gangster to the police. During the undercover process, he continued to make meritorious promotions, doing all the things that the police should do.
In such a situation, is he a good guy or a bad guy?

For example, dotted to recommend today to everyone this "Blood of the Lone Wolf".
The protagonist is a real policeman, but he always calls the gangsters brothers and sisters. Help them solve their troubles today, and go to their place tomorrow to have fun.
At the same time, there are countless cases solved on his hands, and residents will feel at ease when they see him. So is he the righteous side, or is he "complicit" with the gang?
This answer, it seems, is not so easy to define.
The director of "Blood of the Lone Wolf", "Kazuya Shiraishi", won the 38th Hochiyō Awards Best Director in 2013 with "Evil", and the Japanese drama "Spark" co-produced with Ryuichi Hiroki, Shuichi Okita, Hisami Makoto, Andaka Mori and other directors in 2016 has achieved very high influence, and Douban still maintains a good score of 9.3 points.
The actor played by [Hiroshi Hiroshi Seisho] is also a powerful faction, winning the Best Actor Award at the Tokyo Film Festival in 1997 with "x-Seiji", and has also been a frequent guest at major film festivals in Japan in recent years, enjoying a high reputation in Japan.
"Blood of the Lone Wolf" scored a good score of 7.8 on Douban, and audiences who like this genre have received four or five stars of praise, rating this as the best gangster movie of the year.
The story is set in 1988, Hiroshima, Japan.
Here, there are two fearsome gangs called the Fifty Sons and the Tailbone Group.
Fourteen years ago, the bosses of the two gangs died together. In the past 14 years, the little brothers in the gang have been constantly frictional, doing a big job today, and stirring up your field tomorrow.
The gang members thought to themselves: One day, we will be very high.
In the Hiroshima Police Station, there is a special police officer named Ohami, and the law enforcement method can be summarized in four words: countering violence with violence.
Under normal circumstances, the gangsters and he are good brothers, as long as you do not make a big mistake, and then pay me a little protection fee, I can ensure your peace.
But if the gang causes any trouble, he will rush to the scene of the crime at the first time, how brutal and how to come, and his style of behavior is even worse than that of the gang.
On this day, something big happened in Hiroshima, saying that the manager of the financial company had been kidnapped.
Ohami quickly arrives at the scene with a new criminal police officer, Hikaoka, and strives to capture all the clues in the first place.
The results of the investigation show that the manager has most likely been killed, and the killer is a member of the Fifty Sons. This case is a gang battle between the Fifty Sons and the Tailbone Group.
Soon, Ōgami entered a state of intense investigation.
Before the search warrant came down, he directly burned down the house and went in with a big swing. If the suspect does not confess the information, he will enjoy the "love beating" of The Great, the violence is very strong, and he will get rid of the appearance of a triad boss.
On the other hand, the newcomer criminal police officer Hioka is not a fuel-saving lamp: Daikami investigates the case, he investigates the Daikami.
The real boss is a mysterious person who asks Hika to report all the evidence of "violent law enforcement" in Daikami. In order to make Hioka trust him 100 percent, his boss slandered Daikami as a scoundrel: he was in collusion with the gang and was not a good cop.
The suspect who killed the manager has not yet been found, and Ohami has become a new victim. The direction of the case is becoming more and more confusing, making the off-screen audience frightened...
From a feature film point of view, the suspense of "Blood of the Lone Wolf" is very well done.
When he didn't see the ending, Diandian also preconceived that Da shang was a black policeman. The reason for solving the case is to better gain the trust of the police station.
Because the way he and the gang call each other brothers and brothers is so real, it is difficult to believe that what he is doing is not selfish.
From the perspective of crime films, the scale of "Blood of the Lone Wolf" can be said to be r-rated. When the picture should be exciting, there is no ambiguity.
The most interesting thing is the "reincarnation" of the character's identity.
Ōkami dies as a result of Hika's investigation, and Hika finally finds the truth, realizes that he has been deceived, and becomes the second Ōkami on Hiroshima, transforming from a rookie policeman who shivers in the face of the gang to a violent "evil cop" who shoots without blinking.
Hioka vows to find the murderer of Ōkami, take revenge on Ōkami, and bravely guard the land.
With fast pace, burning music and many fight scenes, "Blood of the Lone Wolf" can be described as the whole process.
The battle for interests between the police is vividly described, and sometimes violent police officers are not necessarily bad people, but the corrupt police officers are definitely smiling tigers.
The definition of justice is intriguing.
All residents know that the method of law enforcement is violent, and there is an inexplicable relationship with the gang. But they still believed he was a good cop.
He is balancing the gang forces in his own way, hoping to give everyone a stable life.
Look at the police who follow the rules: they have to wait for the search warrant to come down, and it is not against the established law to be killed.
It is not that this method of enforcement is incorrect, but it is very unclear: knowing that doing so will miss the evidence, why not adopt some "special" methods?
Sometimes, it's the law that keeps people safe. But sometimes, only violence can subdue it.
What "Blood of the Lone Wolf" wants to express is actually the righteousness in this "righteous violence". It's a shame.
