Frozen: Birthday Surprise 2015
The huge success of Frozen has led director Jennifer. Lee and Chris. Buck was overwhelmed. It also made them nervous about returning to make this mini-movie because they knew how much people cared about the characters in Frozen.

When the producers began to think about making a short film themed around Frozen, many of their early ideas focused on everyone's favorite character, Olaf the Snowman.
Who doesn't love this little cute thing?
However, they soon decided to turn their attention to Elsa and Anna. It is the chief story artist Mark. Smith came up with the idea to catch Elsa cold!
It turns out that the cold queen of ice and snow came here!
Frozen: Birthday Surprise takes place in Frozen, months after Elsa and her partner meet.
And it's Anna's 19th birthday!
Initially, the producers' idea was to let Elsa's cold wreak havoc in the small town of Arundel.
But then they decided to make the scene more humorous and to show Elsa's more interesting side.
Elsa guides Anna through the search for her birthday present
The gifts were connected by a long, colourful rope and traveled through various parts of the small town of Arundel.
The story was inspired by "Frozen: Birthday Surprise" director Chris Scott. Buck's own life.
Once, at Easter time, he gave each of his sons a different colored thread, and they had to follow their own thread through the house to find their Easter basket!
Anna and Elsa's roles in Frozen: Birthday Surprise were swapped.
In Frozen, we see Anna trying to wake up her sister Elsa so they can build a snowman together.
But in Frozen, it becomes Elsa trying to wake Anna up so they can celebrate Anna's birthday!
Snow made of little monsters!
Whenever Elsa sneezes, the little snowmen or snow dolls she creates are called snowgies.
To make Anna's birthday as perfect as possible, Elsa put a lot of effort into it. But the snowmen who run around the palace and create chaos weigh on Elsa.
Still, the look on Anna's face was absolutely perfect when she saw her birthday party in the courtyard of the palace.
There she found little snowmen piled up in a pyramid, Olaf in the middle, Sven and Christopher on top, and a nice ice cream cake!
But......
This is not a difficult thing to do with our snow treasure. So it unleashed amazing creativity.
Spelling "Happy Birthday Anna" into "Dried Banana Hippie Hat"
Frozen is the second animated sequel produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios.
The first is the sequel to the animated feature film Magic Adventures, Trolls: Trouble.
Frozen: Birthday Surprise debuted before Disney's latest live-action version, Cinderella.
"Cinderella" happens to be the director of "Frozen: Birthday Surprise" Jennifer. One of the earliest Disney movies Lee saw as a child.
A brand new original song from Frozen: Birthday Surprise called "Make Today the Perfect Day."
The song was written by Robert. Lopez and Kristin. Anderson-Lopez wrote a song specifically for the short film, and they are the couple songwriting team behind the Frozen hit.
They hoped the song's warm feel would contrast to Elsa's cold.
The artistic director of Frozen joked that when Elsa conjured up her skirt in the song "Let It Go," the design of her new dress wasn't properly highlighted because the camera was looking down on Elsa from above.
So, in Frozen: Birthday Surprise, the filmmakers shoot in front of Elsa, not from above, making sure we can appreciate her emerald green dress!
After the quick sale of Elsa and Anna's ice and snow costumes, the filmmakers didn't want the same to happen in Frozen: Birthday Surprise.
So, they identified the sisters' costume design early in the animation production.
