The new "Three Kingdoms" TV series has been around for a long time, and people's evaluations of it are mixed. Admittedly, in many ways it is worse than the old Romance of the Three Kingdoms.
However, in terms of some plots, scenes, and characters, the new "Three Kingdoms" also has its own unique features. In the TV series, there are many places that are adapted from the original text of the novel, which is also different from the old "Romance of the Three Kingdoms".

Let's take stock of the changed plot in the new "Three Kingdoms". These plots are just adaptations, many of which do not affect the development of the plot, and are acceptable.
1. The three generals defeated by Lü Bu
In the novel, Lü Bu flaunts his might in front of the Tiger Prison Pass and challenges the Princes of the Eighteenth Road. Before Liu, Guan, and Zhang Sanying fought, the Allies had a total of 4 men, namely Fang Yue, Mu Shun, Wu Anguo, and Gongsun Zhan.
In the new "Three Kingdoms", it is directly the fierce general Liu Sandao, the Beihai brave general Wang Chong, and the general Han Yong. In particular, this Liu Sandao, before going to war, was blown into the existence of "within the three paths, will be cut under the horse", which can be described as different.
2. Under the siege of Pi, Lü Bu rejected Chen Gong's proposal
In the novel and the old Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Chen Gong proposes that Lü Bu take a force out of the city and be stationed on both sides, waiting for Cao Cao to attack and form a horn. Lü Bu's wife, Yan Shi, was worried that Chen Gong had a different heart and would not let Lü Bu go. Lü Bu did not go in the end, resulting in the loss of one last chance.
In the new "Three Kingdoms", after Chen Gong made such a suggestion, Lü Bu met with Marten Chan, who was ill at this time. Lü Bu took pity on Xiang Xiang and said that he would wait until Marten Chan was well and would go again, so he did not follow Chen Gong's advice.
3. Zhang Fei lost Xuzhou
Zhang Fei lost Xuzhou because Liu Bei was ordered to attack Yuan Shu, and only Zhang Fei was left in Xuzhou. Zhang Fei drank and made fun of it, letting the deputy general Cao Bao drink, and Cao Bao was afraid of alcohol in his life, and he could not drink it.
Zhang Fei drank
In the novel, Cao Bao is Lü Bu's father-in-law, and in the new Three Kingdoms, Cao Bao becomes Lü Bu's cousin. Cao Bao pleaded with Zhang Fei, saying that he would look at Lü Bu's face and forgive him.
When Zhang Fei heard that it was Lü Bu, he became angry and beat Cao Bao. Cao Bao then reported to Lü Bu, who led his troops to capture Xuzhou.
4. Ma Mo sent an envoy to Eastern Wu
When Zhuge Liang "lived in peace and retreated five ways", the last road was Sun Quan, and in order for Zhuge Liang to make Sun Quan strike the army and make peace, zhuge Liang needed to send a person who could speak eloquently to make peace.
Ma Mo sent an envoy to Eastern Wu
In the original version, the zhuge liang faction was the strategist Deng Zhi; in the new Three Kingdoms, the zhuge liang faction was Ma Chen. This is also an adaptation. It may be that the screenwriter directly added these scenes to Ma Mo in order to reduce the number of actors and deepen the characters.
5. Hao Zhao lost Chen Cang
During Zhuge Liang's Northern Expedition, in order to fight steadily and steadily, he had to take the city of Chen Cang. While Chen Cang's defender Hao Zhao insisted, Zhuge Liang could not attack for a long time, and gradually frowned.
In the novel, Zhuge Liang attacks Chen Cang with a strategy, and the defender Hao Zhao is critically ill and subsequently dies of illness. After the defender died, Zhuge Liang took the city in line with the trend; in the new "Three Kingdoms", Zhuge Liang deceived the city gate and captured Chen Cang, and the defender Hao Zhao committed suicide to apologize.
This adaptation is innocuous, simplifying the plot and making the story development easier to understand.
