On October 25, 1971, the Twenty-sixth Session of the United Nations General Assembly adopted Resolution 2758 by an overwhelming majority, restoring all the legitimate rights of the People's Republic of China in the United Nations.
China is a founding member of the United Nations and one of the five permanent members of the Security Council. After the founding of New China, it has always worked hard to restore the legitimate rights of New China in the United Nations. Algeria, Tanzania and other friendly African countries have struggled against the opposition forces for more than 10 years in order to support New China in restoring their legitimate rights.
