The reporter learned from the 2016 annual meeting of the Xinjiang Bird Watching Association that from May to June this year, the Xinjiang Bird Watching Association and the staff of the Altay Forest Ecological Station jointly investigated the birds in the Kanas Scenic Area. In Hemu, Jiadenyu, Kanas, Baihaba and other places, a total of 118 species of birds were observed and photographed, of which 4 species of birds were protected at the national level and 16 species were protected by the state at the second level, which confirmed that a variety of rare bird species breeded in Kanas and had a certain population.
According to Gou Jun, chairman of the Xinjiang Bird Watching Association, these 11 rare bird species are praised by the Xinjiang bird industry as "foreign guests" and "rare guests".
