Me and Thomas: People and Animals

The film tells the true story of a couple who overcome many difficulties to treat and raise a child with autism. Desperate parents, in order to let 6-year-old Kyle learn to communicate with others, bought a puppy, hoping that with this cute golden retriever and their unremitting efforts, their son can learn to communicate emotionally. Finally, they discovered that the puppy Thomas had done it all.

Kyle, six, has autism. Whether at home or out with her mother, Kyle never talks to her mother, does not let her mother hold, does not let her mother kiss, does not let her mother touch. In order to take care of Kyle, Her mother, Nikla, had to give up her job and only work the night shift twice a week. Kyle's father, Rob, is a company employee. Kyle's autism not only puts a huge amount of work pressure on Rob, but also directly affects Rob and Nikla's marital relationship.

Kyle's autism was diagnosed two years ago by the renowned psychologist John Hafs under Nikla's identification. For two years, Nikla gave almost all of her time to her son Kyle, and when Kyle was irritable and crying, Nikla would think that the reason why her son was like this was entirely caused by her mother; While Rob is busy with work, Nikla sees this as an escape from Rob as a father.

The Robs and Nephews took "Thomas" home and made "Thomas" a member of the family. Kyle's situation has improved since "Thomas", and when Kyle is irritable and bitter, Rob and Nikla's words can magically make Kyle listen through "Thomas". "Thomas" changed Kyle while changing a family.
