Major archaeological discoveries such as the Guanghan Sanxingdui site and the Chengdu Jinsha site have given us an understanding of the characteristics of the ancient Shu civilization. A large number of gold, copper, jade, stone, bone and tooth cultural relics remain, carrying rich cultural information. Archaeology has found a large number of exquisite bronze cultural relics with tall, majestic and sacred shapes and strong regional characteristics, reproducing the unique survival imagery and fantasy and magnificent spiritual world of the ancestors of Sichuan, and also reflecting the extraordinary artistic imagination and amazing creativity of the ancient Shu people.
The artistic imagination of the ancient Shu people does not only exist in the myths of word of mouth, but also creates a large number of real works of art, so that you can see, touch, hear, go straight to the depths of your soul, and resonate with you.
The bronze statue excavated from Sanxingdui No. 2 Pit has been carefully restored, and the overall image is basically complete, becoming the largest cultural relics excavated from Sanxingdui bronze statues, which is very eye-catching.
The bronze high platform standing figure is brilliant and imposing, and is cast in a 1:1 ratio, such a huge bronze standing figure is unheard of in shang zhou archaeology. The bronze statue of The Distant Viewer is slender, upright and upright, with his arms raised flat, his hands held in a ring shape, and the objects in his hands have been lost. Up close to the bronze statue of a standing person, wearing a gorgeous crown dress, bare ten toes, standing upright on both feet. Under the feet are two high platforms, decorated with 4 animal heads connected into one, and the animal heads are in the shape of a slender nose and horns. This bronze statue stands majestically on a high platform with just the right foot, holding objects in both hands, looking far away, as if in devotion, and as if in silent prayer, solemn and solemn, with a peaceful and pious look.
The bronze figure has a high barrel-shaped crown on its head, with a thorny hairpin and two layers of crown. The lower layer is decorated with a circle of patterns, and the pattern is made in two parallel rows. The upper layer is in the shape of a big-eyed animal face, only a pair of large eyes with eyebrows, and no ears and nose. The two eyes in the animal's face are slightly rounded, on both sides of the crown, and the eye-shaped sphere is large, large enough to rise out of the orbit. The standing crown is the crown of the beast, and the eyebrow of the animal face has a circular decoration, or is thought to be a symbol of the sun. The sun is the eye of the heavens, the eyes of the beast face are with the image of the sun, and the crown of the human can be called the "crown of the heavenly eye".
The portrait is wide, the bridge of the nose is high, the lips are tightly closed, the ears are open, the heavy eyebrows are stretched, and the eyes are extremely far away. There is a kind of piety in perseverance, and a solemnity in kindness, which is a very special expression. The almond eyes in the outer corner are obviously upturned, making people feel the eyes shining.
The ornamentation of the standing people like crown clothes is elaborate, and the elegance and beauty of the embroidered clothes radiate out through the mottled rust color. Those delicate depictions reveal the nobility of the Liren body. The figure is erect and wears a tight-sleeved underwear, a half-arm coat, and a skirted hem. Underwear has a collarless narrow rim, long sleeves and short pendulum, sleeve length and wrist, flat and crotch, open to the right, and buttoned underarms. The coat is half-arm short sleeves, with wide cuffs, a slightly longer hem than underwear, and a placket to the right. The bottom is actually a skirt, open for the front and back of the two pieces, the front piece is high and the back is low, the front piece is flat over the knee, and the back piece is forked and foot. There is also a large belt outside the portrait, which is woven in the shape of a woven belt, which is crossed left obliquely along the edge of the coat, and the ends are tied at the back shoulder blades.
Liren's clothes are full of patterns, pattern composition takes the patterned form, symmetrical and neat, there are large units, there are also continuous small drawings, should be splendid fabrics. The pattern of the half-arm coat is the most refined, and the pattern is divided into two groups, bounded by the front and back midline. The composition of the front and back midlines is the same, and the vertical pattern of the eye pattern is composed of a swirling and round eye pattern, and the pattern in the outer garment is divided into two groups. The group on the left is a group of 4 dragon stripes arranged in a phalanx, the dragon stripes are two opposites, the dragon claws are clenched into fists, the dragon wings are high, the dragon hyena is flying, the thunder and wind are swift, and the mighty martial arts are strong. The group on the right is two rows of animal face patterns arranged vertically and parallelly, the composition is simple, just a little eyebrow, spring and autumn sun, warm mist.
The pattern of the front and back of the lower coat is similar, and the pattern is divided into two segments, all of which are animal face images. The upper section is a big-eyed animal face, the main body is rounded, and there is a nose-shaped pattern between the two eyes. There are 4 inverted animal faces in front of and behind the lower section, and the animal faces are generally only showing their eyes, but wearing a three-tooth high crown. Whether the beast is a man or not cannot yet be determined.
In addition to the costume, the portrait may have some ornaments on the body. There are perforations for wearing ornaments in the lower pinnacles of both ears, and oblique holes with inserts behind the head, indicating that Li Ren originally had simple jewelry. At the wrist and ankle, a ring decoration is seen separately, which may represent a bracelet and a foot ring.
Whose statue will this bronze statue be? In the era of small countries and widows, the king had multiple identities, both as a monarch who commanded the common people and as the leader of the group of witches who ruled over the big and small wizards. The statue, dressed in a ceremonial dress and offering sacrificial vessels in his hands, seems to be presiding over a grand ceremony. The statue is dressed in a robe and has the status of a king; it is also seen standing on a high platform, holding an artifact, and at the same time having the identity of a sorcerer.
I thought that the Sanxingdui sacrifice pit buried the crystallization of the wisdom of the ancient Shu era, which were unique and wonderful literary creations of the ancient Shu era, and were cultural heritage that recorded the ideas of one region and one era.
