Eddie Murphy received the Critics' Choice Award for Lifetime Achievement

The Broadcast Film Critics Association, the largest professional film critics association in North America, awards the critics' choice awards each year, which ranks among the three major professional entertainment awards along with the Academy Awards and golden globes. The organization announced on December 30 that veteran filmmaker Eddie Murphy will receive the award's highest honor, the Lifetime Achievement Award, at the 25th Critics' Choice Awards ceremony.

The association explained in a press release that Murphy has won awards for his extraordinary achievements in the film and theater acting industry over the years, and his role has been nominated for major awards many times, and his most recent nomination was for the "dolemite is my name" produced by Netflix, playing the well-known black comedian Rudy Ray Moore, and the actor award finalist and winner of numerous acting awards.

Murphy is the most successful African-American male actor in the history of cinema and one of the industry's top five commercial box office stars. Over the past three decades of his film career, he has acted in countless impressive films, such as "Beverly Hills Cop," "Coming to America," "Daddy Day Care," and many of the films he starred in that sold more than $100 million at the box office.

In addition, he is also an excellent voice actor, the most popular with Chinese audiences is that he has voiced "Mushu" in the Disney animated movie "Mulan", and in the "Shrek" series of movies, he has become a chattering stupid donkey; he has also released several blockbuster records due to television performances, including "Monster Shrek", "Journey to America" and other movie soundtracks.
