Enshi Prefecture, Hubei Province, August 22, 2021 (Correspondent Yang Chan) On August 22, the School of Computer and Information Science of Hunan Institute of Technology went to the north and south of the motherland to "Remember the Glory of a Hundred Years and Write The Chapter of Youth" Summer Social Practice Group began the next day's social practice activities. In the process of visiting and comforting veterans, listening to the old people tell the story of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, the new youth wrote a new chapter in the new era.
On August 22, 2021, the members of the practice team came to Chenjiawan Village, Gaoping Town, Jianshi County, Enshi Prefecture, Hubei Province. The members of the practice team came to the home of Grandpa Liu, a veteran of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea. In a conversation, I learned that Grandpa Liu was 92 years old and his actions were not as good as before, but his mental state was still relatively good. After the members of the practice team expressed their intentions, Grandpa Liu first expressed his happiness for everyone's arrival, and then told everyone some stories about the period of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea. Grandpa Liu said he went to North Korea in 1952 as a conscript for three years, after which the state assigned him a job. Grandpa Liu went to the house and took out the notebook he had treasured for decades, which very clearly recorded the number of enemy guns and ammunition captured by Grandpa Liu's team at that time. Speaking of this, Grandpa's face was filled with the joy of victory, followed by the sadness of the departure of his teammates. Grandpa Liu also showed everyone the commemorative medal of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea at that time, as well as old objects such as hat badges. The history of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea was written by millions of officers and men of the Volunteer Army with patriotism and revolutionary heroism of sacrificing their lives and forgetting their deaths; the spirit of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea was forged by countless outstanding sons and daughters of the Chinese nation with the indomitable belief that the dignity of the motherland and the happiness of the people are above all else.
Today, we carry forward the spirit of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, and the new youth write a new chapter in the new era.
