As early as 2006, Zhuang Zedong went to a military hospital for emergency treatment because of blood in the stool, when doctors diagnosed that the blood in the stool was caused by hemorrhoids. Doctors believe that Zhuang Zedong's blood in the stool two years ago was not caused by hemorrhoids, but by rectal cancer. But due to the delay of two years, the tumor in the rectum developed very large, resulting in four-fifths of the rectum blockage, requiring immediate surgery.
Zhuang Zedong then underwent surgery, and it is reported that his scalpel was up to 21cm long and his rectum was also removed by 21cm.
2. Race against cancer cells
After the surgery, it's not over yet. Because Zhuang Zedong's cancer had liver and lung metastasis, he still needed to continue to fight with the cancer cells after the operation. At that time, many people thought that Zhuang Zedong's expected life expectancy was only more than one year, but he did not give up on himself. He felt that he could not sit still and had to race against the cancer cells, and thus began the battle against the cancer cells.
