However, many farmers find a strange problem, that is, the highways are built into asphalt roads, but the rural village roads are almost all cement roads? Why is it designed that way?
To put it bluntly, this problem is actually a good problem of cement road and asphalt road, first let's look at the advantages and disadvantages of asphalt road and cement road.
The advantages of cement roads are mainly the following 3 points: one is relatively high stability, resistant to rain erosion; second, resistant to high temperature; third, cement concrete is an electrodeless gel material, anti-aging is relatively strong, which is much stronger than asphalt roads.
The disadvantages are the following two points: First, because the cement road surface is relatively hard, so the shock absorption performance is relatively poor, and the noise of driving on the cement road is relatively large, which I believe everyone has a deep understanding, sometimes it looks flat and neat road surface, but it is very bumpy when driving. Second, under the condition of deformation or uneven settlement of the subgrade and foundation, it is easy to form emptying, the additional stress is very large, it is easy to produce fracture failure, the stability of the subgrade is high, and the adaptability to uneven settlement is poor.
Advantages: First, it looks beautiful and atmospheric on the grade; second, the shock absorption performance is better, and the comfort of driving on the asphalt road is better; the third is the strong adaptability to the deformation or uneven settlement of the roadbed and foundation.
Of course, the disadvantages are also obvious, one is poor water resistance, should produce water damage, a rainy season may cause a large number of damage to the road surface. Second, the temperature resistance is poor, when the summer temperature is high, the asphalt is easy to melt, which naturally has a certain impact on the road surface.
In addition, from the cost point of view, the cost of asphalt roads is much higher than that of cement roads, and it also requires the use of large mechanical equipment, for the village road, due to the limited width of the road itself, it is not suitable for large machinery. Therefore, on the whole, cement roads are more suitable in rural areas.
