What kind of strength supports certain goalkeepers to play the whole game in ugly jerseys? Here's a list of the worst goalkeeper shirt designs of all time:
1. Former Mexican goalkeeper Jorge Campos is keen to design his own suits. During the 1994 World Cup in the United States, he came up with this design that made countless people sick to their stomachs: he must have gotten the inspiration for mixing green, yellow, blue, pink and orange from the 1967 musical Joseph's Magical Dress.
2. During the 1993 campaign in this jersey, Dmitry Karini did not have a good time. Even if the collar-like neckline design of the shirt wasn't bad, the blue and purple mix was enough to make it one of the ugliest shirts in Chelsea's history. Imagine Thibault Courtois wearing this shirt.
3. In Blackburn's early Premier League history, Tim Flower played a pivotal role. Dating back to the New Year's Day in 1994, he walked into the stadium wearing this shocking jersey. This jersey may just be a joke made by the designers when they are not awake from a hangover, and who can blame them?
4. David James is known for his versatile hairstyles, but unfortunately he also fell victim to some of the most gruesome shirt designs during his time at Liverpool. The jersey, which was introduced in 1994-95, was a shame, and the purple stripe in the middle made it look like it was in a video game.
5. After saving Miguel Nadal's penalty in the quarter-final penalty shootout at Euro 1996 against Spain, David Seaman became a hero for england as a whole. The shirt, which bears the huge England logo, seemed to have also disoriented poor Spanish players on the pitch.
6. Kevin Presman played for Sheffield Wednesday for 15 years, and the shirt he wears is often unexpected. This loose yellow-and-blue jersey he wore in 1994-95 was one of his many bad designs.
7. Look at the messy pattern on this jersey. What are these white stripes? It was also smeared with black, grey, blue and white. And this ugly pair of gloves. Poor Shaka Heathlop, the international player from Trinidad and Tobago, had to endure such an ugly set of designs in the 1995-96 season.
8. For the following season, Heathlop's situation still did not improve. The shirt was meant to pay homage to the city of Newcastle, but it looked counterproductive. Adidas might have been considered fashionable if he had designed such a shirt today, but in the 1996-97 season it was a completely different situation.
9. At the 1994 World Cup in the United States, Tony Miola put on such a jersey. Just like watching Campos' game, fans may be blinded by such a jersey.
10. In the 1995 Champions League final win over ac Milan, Edwin van der Sar became the hero of Ajax, but he wore such a shirt. Truth be told, from a jersey standpoint, the Italians are probably more worthy of the title.
11. Before Ian Walker became famous, he used to wear a jersey that looked like a baby jumpsuit. The famous goalkeeper became devoid of stardom after putting on the shirt.
12. In the 1996-97 season, Pieter Schmeichel was forced to wear such a shirt to the battlefield. The purple and pink jersey design is rarely comfortable to look at, except for a Palermo team. United learned their lesson this time and have not had such an absurd design since.
13. Liverpool's "thrilling" shirt in 1995-96 made them on this list for the second time. Poor David James is once again the unfortunate number one. Given the eye-catching orange and yellow motifs of this jersey, it is recommended to watch with caution.
14. This is the huddersfield Town goalkeeper shirt for the 1993-94 season. Look at it, just look at it like this---- if you can stand it. Poor Kevin Blackville had to wear it to the race, and he would probably cry when he first saw the dress.
15. It was unfortunate that Nigel Spink had to wear such a deformed jersey to guard the goal in the 1994-95 season. It seems that it may not be a coincidence that he left Aston Villa shortly after wearing this shirt.
16. There's nothing wrong with patriotism, but Joe Hart's St George's cross on his England national team uniform from 2011-2012 was also printed a little too much.
17. Unless you're in the military, you might have a hard time navigating such a camouflage-style jersey. Everton's 2012 goalkeeper shirt went viral for such a disgraceful reason that it spread virally through social media that year. No wonder Tim Howard looked so angry.
18. Even a legendary Paraguayan goalkeeper like José Luis Chilawite had unfortunate moments. At the 1998 World Cup in France, he put on such a shirt. The poor design of this jersey looks as if it was laid out with jigsaw puzzle software on Instagram.
19. Remember the seats on the old subway? This jersey may make you think back. It also looks like Christmas overalls. Southend's Reus had to endure such a comical shirt in 1995 and wore it for three years.
20. The last piece, from Sunderland's design in the 1994-95 season, was a design in which Alec Chamberlain and Shay Givon became victims. The top half of the jersey resembles a snake game, while the bottom half resembles a chess board. We really can't figure out what the designers of this jersey were trying to say. (Interface)
