In 2010, the World Expo entered China from Shanghai. In 2018, the first China International Import Expo was held in Shanghai. From the World Expo to the Expo, the concept of jointly building a community with a shared future for mankind advocated by General Secretary Xi Jinping has become a global consensus.

On the occasion of the fourth CIIE held on November 4, the 2020 Dubai World Expo CNNC Nuclear Power Operation and Maintenance Day was held in Shanghai, which is one of the series of official activities of CNNC at the Dubai World Expo. At the meeting, CNNC released a one-stop solution for the "full life cycle" of nuclear power to the world, and shared and exchanged good practices and experiences in the sustainable development of nuclear energy and nuclear power operation and maintenance with domestic and foreign counterparts from Argentina, Brazil, Pakistan, Bulgaria, Ukraine and other domestic and foreign counterparts.
Gu Jun, General Manager of CNNC, Shen Yanfeng, Deputy General Manager, Zhang Li, Director of the Nuclear Power Development Center of the National Energy Administration, Zhang Ming, Researcher of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, Wang Xun, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Municipal Nuclear Power Office, Artyom Pushkin, Consul General of Ukraine in Shanghai, Ashard Mahmoud, Minister of Science and Technology of the Embassy of Pakistan in China, Muhammad Nayim, Former Chairman of the Pakistani Committee, Marilla Bravo, Representative of the Argentine Embassy in China, Ali Zabi, Chief Operating Officer of the Uae Nuclear Power Corporation, Saleh Sehi, Chief Operating Officer of the Emirates Nuclear Power Operation Company, Juan Cantarelli, General Manager of Operations of the Argentine Nuclear Power Company, Bablo Katz Brazil, General Manager of the Nuclear Power Project of the Argentine Nuclear Power Company, Reonnan Guimarães, President of the Brazilian Nuclear Power Company, Celso Cunha, President of the Brazilian Association for the Development of Nuclear Activities, and representatives of more than 50 domestic and foreign enterprises in the field of nuclear power operation and maintenance attended the event, and more than 50,000 members of the public watched the live broadcast of the event online in Both English and Chinese.
"Nuclear energy is highly aligned with many of the goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and nuclear energy has a lot to offer in the field of benefiting humanity." Gu Jun said in his speech that China has been continuously improving the operation and maintenance level of nuclear power plant units in the spirit of pursuing excellence. CNNC will continue to give full play to the advantages of the whole industrial chain of the nuclear industry, provide global nuclear power customers with "one-stop" solutions from capacity building, nuclear energy supervision, site development to nuclear power plant investment, construction, operation and maintenance, contribute China's strength to achieve the global goal of "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality", and jointly create a green, low-carbon and sustainable future.

Chinese President Xi Jinping announced at the general debate of the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly that China will increase its nationally determined contribution, adopt more powerful policies and measures, strive to peak carbon dioxide emissions by 2030, and strive to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060.
Nuclear energy occupies an important position in China's energy system and is an important component of achieving carbon peaking and carbon neutrality. Up to now, CNNC has accumulated 1,248.203 billion kWh of commercial power generation, which is equivalent to reducing the combustion of standard coal by 356,973,800 tons; reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 32,704,600 tons; reducing sulfur dioxide emissions by 4,049,300 tons; and reducing nitrogen oxide emissions by 2,641,600 tons, equivalent to afforestation of 2,629,000 hectares.
China is one of the few countries in the world with a full nuclear energy industry chain, and CNNC has established a core industrial system of advanced nuclear energy utilization, nuclear fuel, natural uranium, nuclear technology application, engineering construction, nuclear environmental protection, equipment manufacturing, renewable energy, financial investment and other core industrial systems, covering all fields of the entire industrial chain.
Since the beginning of this year, Hualong No. 1 has put into commercial operation the world's first Reactor of Fuqing No. 5 unit and the first overseas reactor of Hualong No. 1 in Karachi, Pakistan. Karachi Nuclear Power Unit 2 has created the shortest construction period for the world's three generations of nuclear power overseas construction, effectively driving the rapid development of the local economy and related industries, and the project won the honor of "Best Practices for International Cooperation in Energy" at the Second "Belt and Road" Energy Ministers' Conference.
As of September 2021, 19 of CNNC's 22 units that meet the conditions for calculating the wano composite index have reached full marks, indicating that China's domestic nuclear power plants are at an excellent level in operation, maintenance, equipment management and other aspects. In addition, Pakistan's Chasima nuclear power unit C-4 operated continuously for 374 days, setting a record for the best operation of the local nuclear power unit; subsequently, the C-2 unit ran continuously for 425 days, once again refreshing the local record for continuous operation of the unit in operation. In 2021, the C-4 unit in the second quarter of the wano comprehensive operation index of 100 points.
Expo Dubai is the first Expo after the COVID-19 pandemic, providing a powerful impetus for economic recovery in the post-COVID-19 era and providing a platform for countries around the world to communicate ideas and work together to create the future. As the only participant in China's nuclear energy field and the official partner of the China Pavilion at the Dubai World Expo, CNNC depicted the scene of nuclear energy benefiting a better life in the future city in the China Pavilion, and brought the World China's plan to build a community with a shared future for nuclear energy.
