Introduction to the Beijing Symphony Orchestra
Known as the "Capital Pearl Symphony Orchestra", the Beijing Symphony Orchestra was established in October 1977 under the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, and in the 1990s, under the leadership of then artistic director Tan Lihua, the Beijing Symphony Orchestra underwent major reforms and adjustments. In 2020, Li Biao, a famous conductor and percussionist in China, was hired as artistic director and chief permanent conductor. As a witness, witness and creator of the music culture in Beijing, the capital of China, in the 43 years since its establishment and development, the troupe has made the Beijing Symphony Orchestra one of the most popular and internationally influential orchestras in China with its high professional standards, rigorous performance skills, rich and extensive repertoire and profound musical accomplishment, and has won widespread attention and praise around the world.
The Beijing Symphony Orchestra has represented the country and the capital in large-scale foreign cultural exchange activities and has visited Germany, britain, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, the Czech Republic, Poland, Croatia, Hungary, Turkey, Slovenia, Serbia, South Korea and other countries, and has held tours throughout the country and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. From 2001 to 2017, he completed the European tour with an octave and received high praise from the European critics. In 2013, the orchestra made its debut on the American continent for a two-week tour of Mexico and the United States, and the Washington Post, the largest circulation in the United States, headlined " Beijing Symphony Orchestra Sets Off a Classical Music Boom " .
Since 1994, the Beijing Symphony Orchestra has been committed to a wide and in-depth popularization of symphony concerts. Its footprints span Beijing's military barracks, factories and mines, schools, communities, and major concert halls and colleges and universities in China. In the more than 20 years of popularity, the Beijing Symphony has performed nearly a thousand popular concerts, involving millions of audiences of different occupations and ages. In 2016, the "Capital Citizens Concert Hall" initiated by the Beijing Symphony Orchestra advocated "symphony around the people", promoted classical music into the daily life of the citizens of the capital, and became a brand of benefiting the public culture of the capital.

Jiao Feihu is the resident conductor of the Beijing Symphony Orchestra and was the artistic director and chief conductor of the Moscow International Philharmonic Orchestra. Winner of the Gold Medal of "Tchaikovsky" in Russia, winner of the Grand Prize of the All-Russian Youth Piano Competition, runner-up of the Scriabin International Piano Competition in Paris, France.
Jiao Feihu was born in 1986 in Hebei, China, went to Moscow with his parents at the age of 3, began to learn piano at the age of 6, and was praised by the Russian music industry as "China's genius child". During his 22 consecutive years at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, he studied under the international conductor Gennadi Rozhdestvensky and the "People's Artist of Russia" and the piano master Professor Mikhail voskresensky. In 2010 and 2014, he received a double doctorate degree in opera and symphony conducting and piano performance with full honors in various subjects, and received the "Red Excellent Diploma" issued by the Russian Ministry of Culture.
As a conductor and pianist, Jiao Feihu often collaborates with many international orchestras, such as the Moscow Symphony Orchestra, the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, the Moscow Model State Symphony Orchestra, the China Philharmonic Orchestra, the Beijing Symphony Orchestra, etc. In recent years, he has also cooperated with many outstanding domestic symphony orchestras, such as the Qingdao Symphony Orchestra, the Harbin Symphony Orchestra, the Hunan Symphony Orchestra, and the Heilongjiang Provincial Symphony Orchestra. Jiao Feihu has also appeared in many world-class music halls at home and abroad, including the Grand Concert Hall of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, the Rachmaninoff Concert Hall, the Mariinsky Theater Far East Concert Hall, the Glinka Concert Hall, the Great Hall of the People, the Tianjin Grand Theatre, the Shanghai Oriental Art Center, the Zhongshan Music Hall, the Harbin Grand Theatre, the Shanghai Concert Hall, the Qingdao Grand Theatre, the New Tsinghua Academy, the Harbin Concert Hall, the Tianjin Concert Hall, and so on. In 2012, he co-directed britton's opera "A Midsummer Night's Dream" at the Moscow State Stanislavsky Theatre, which won the Golden Mask Award, Russia's highest theatrical award.
