Recently, a cadre from Bingma Township encountered a "strange bird" on his way to the countryside and photographed it. After sending pictures to bird watching professionals, this "strange bird" that looks like an owl at first glance is called "siāo", which belongs to the beneficial bird and is a field mouse catcher, who happened to catch it out to find food.

Barn owl, medium-sized bird, the face plate is white heart-shaped, like a monkey, so also known as the monkey head eagle, monkey face eagle, is one of the most widely distributed birds in the world. The barn owl in China is a national second-level key wild protected animal, only rare in Yunnan in China, the record of Baoshan Hemp, is currently one of the few exact distribution points in China after the Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden and dehong Yingjiang River.
Recently, the world's endangered birds, the blue-headed diving duck and the pincer-billed stork, have been found in various parts of Baoshan. The Cangyu Owl is another national second-level protected animal that has been accurately recorded after the "peregrine falcon" in the jurisdiction of Bingma Township. In recent years, Bingma Township has actively practiced the development concept of "green water and green mountains are golden mountains and silver mountains" and strengthened the ecological environmental protection and governance of the whole township. Through the delineation of ecological red lines, strict implementation of natural forest protection, river (lake) length system, afforestation and other measures. Further increased forest resources and wildlife protection, the forest coverage rate in the jurisdiction has increased year by year, the ecological environment has gradually improved, in the East River Gorge and Kuige Chain Bridge, Tiansheng Bridge area, there are often monkeys in and out, birdsong, hemp has become more and more wildlife habitat.
