
According to NBA reporter Adrian Wojnarowski, multiple sources revealed that free agent Shabaz Mohammed will reach a one-year, $1.6 million base salary contract with the Timberwolves.
The second year of the contract may include player options, but the details of the contract are still being discussed, sources said. Sources also revealed that Mohammed also dropped a better contract offer.
In addition, next summer the Timberwolves will have Bird Rights in Muhammad and can sign a long-term contract with the latter.
In the 2016-17 regular season, Mohammed averaged 19.4 minutes per game and had 9.9 points and 2.8 rebounds.
