Before the establishment of Foping National Nature Reserve, and since its establishment in 1980, a number of giant pandas have been rescued and supervised in the wild. Thanks to the timely assistance of humans, these giant panda individuals became "lucky", or alleviated the pain, or alleviated the hunger, or extended their lifespan, or were able to reproduce. After undergoing artificial treatment and breeding, some individuals are released into the wild living environment, and some go to zoos or rescue breeding centers.
Rescuing and monitoring these giant panda individuals in the wild is an important part of our work, and it is also an exciting working period, which makes us take the lead in approaching the real life of giant pandas instead of humans. The summary of the giant pandas that partially approach humans from the natural environment is as follows, and I hope that more people will also approach nature and the original ecology:
1) Bending
In January 1975, the giant panda cub "Bend" and her mother met Zhang Jishu, a researcher at the Shaanxi Provincial Institute of Zoology, in the bending ditch of the Sanguanmiao Production Brigade of Yueba Commune, Foping County. Due to Mr. Zhang's shooting, the "little boy" was separated from his mother. Zhang Jishu fostered Crooked bend in a family surnamed Yang near the Yueba Township government for two months, when the money for crooked milk powder came from Researcher Zhang's salary.
This is the first wild Qinling giant panda to enter the sight of scientific researchers, which has a lot to do with the establishment of the Foping Nature Reserve and the location of the bureau (station) point. In the 1980s and 1990s, the head of the "Four Sons" was the first of the "four handsome men" of the artificial population of giant pandas, and contributed greatly to the artificial population of giant pandas.
He has been fostering in Xi'an Zoo for a long time, and once gave birth to "Qin Qin" after mating with "Dandan".
2) Be obedient
When more people knew about giant pandas from the propaganda album, in the spring of 1981, a wild giant panda walked into the sight of The Buddha's Bao people from Gujiawan.
Because of the good cooperation with scientific research work, it is loved to be called "obedient".
Well behaved and understanding. From May 17 to 20, 1982, the obedient was continuously followed and observed for 72 hours; in the winter, the obedient was continuously observed for 48 hours. The Fobao people thus opened a window on the wild giant panda and raised the human understanding of the wild giant panda by a large margin. Since then, the "obedient" who has always been in the wild has remained "déjà vu" with the staff of the reserve for 4 years.
The good story of obedience has been passed down in foping nature reserve for a long time.
3) DanDan
"Dandan" is a powerful "earthquake" dedicated by wild giant pandas to humans.
On March 26, 1985, Lu Guoyou found a brown giant panda at the mouth of the Hanging Horse Ditch, and Pan Wenshi named it "Dandan". After the successful rescue, he was fostered in Xi'an Zoo for a long time, during which he gave birth to 2 litters and 3 litters. Dan Dan died at 10:30 a.m. on September 7, 2000 at the Xi'an Zoo, and the pose specimen is now in the "Qinling Man and Nature Education Center".
4) Xuan Xuan
"XuanXuan" is a good story of the rescue and release of giant pandas in Qinling.
On March 31, 1986, Xuan Xuan, a "female man" about 10 years old, was found at the mouth of the hanging horse ditch and was initially diagnosed with severe gastroenteritis and ascariasis.
After human treatment and rescue of "people", Xuan Xuan's illness was gone, and the true disposition of the wild panda returned. One day, Xuan Xuan broke open the protective measures of the rescue room, did not greet the people who rescued it, and returned to the wild environment spontaneously, which was later considered a successful release "experiment".
Xuan Xuan's "self" release, and the failure to work hard to move the public, is a good story in the history of giant panda rescue.
5) Salsa
It was discovered on 26 February 1989 in Shagou. female. When he was found, he weighed 100 kilograms, was 1.29 meters long, was scaly all over his body, was unconscious, 7 traumas were severely suppurative, and fractured hind limbs penetrated the skin. The researchers obtained a lot of valuable first-hand information from this rescue case.
6) Fangfang
It was discovered on April 13, 1990 at the mouth of the archway and named "Fangfang". When it was found, it was initially identified as a critically ill cat with a weight of 50 kilograms and a body length of 1.2 meters. After treatment, "Beauty" FangFang recovered from health and was released into the wild on May 10.
7) Bin Bin
"Bin Bin" is the most sympathetic giant panda in the history of successful rescue of giant pandas in Foping Nature Reserve, a rare "sick cat" that did not ride a stretcher, and the only giant panda named after the name of the rescuer.
On October 13, 1990, an injured giant panda was found in Xihe. After dealing with the injuries at the scene, the staff decided to take the sick animals to the Daguping Conservation Station to continue treatment. The long mountain road stretcher is difficult to walk, the giant panda followed Liu Xiaobin and other ambulance personnel to walk to the Daguping Protection Station, wading in many places, many steep slopes, it safely passed through dangerous sections under the guidance of Liu Xiaobin. Because of the tacit understanding with Liu Xiaobin, this giant panda was named "Bin Bin".
After the rescue was successful, Bin Bin went to Jinan Zoo to live, so that people without giant panda distribution areas could observe the bits and pieces of the panda world at close range.
8) Mediocre
On November 15, 1991, the giant panda cub "Pingping" was found on the lawn.
Pingping is the most famous childhood "hair" of the children of the workers of foping Nature Reserve born around 1990, and is a special "partner" for children. The "handsome guy" is naughty and cute, and the childlike fun is rich, which brings great fun to the staff of Foping Conservation Area and the people of Foping County.
After the age of 2, Pingping was transferred to the Shaanxi Rare Animal Breeding Center, where his children and grandchildren flourished.
PingPing has traveled the world many times, spilling friendship into the distance, and gathering the eyes of the world's attention to the natural environment to Foping. In his later years, Pingping returned to Foping and approached his childhood hometown.
9) Qingqing Yaoyao
"Qingqing" was rescued on September 27, 2000, named Qingqing because it was close to the National Day; "Yaoyao" was found in Yaogou and found 24 days later than The discovery of Qingqing. Qingqing recovered after more than two months of meticulous treatment, and with the approval of the State Forestry Administration, Qingqing's tomorrow is "discharged" after recovering from illness.
Compared with Xuan Xuan, who was "discharged from the hospital by herself", Qingqing is a good story of passive release. In the winter of 2000, the depths of the Qinling Mountains were surprisingly cold, from the cool breeze to the Sanguan Temple, the forest world and the snow world overlapped in the vast forest sea of the Foping Nature Reserve, on November 30, dozens of media and enthusiastic institutions gathered at the Sanguan Temple Protection Station to witness the real approach between humans and the wild world: study nature, do not change nature!
The ceremony of returning to Pingping was very solemn, fully declaring the attitude and determination of the Chinese to protect giant pandas. The release process is very heartwarming, from the courtyard of the protection station to the place of release within a few hundred meters, the people present have asked to carry Qingqing for a distance. In order to take care of more enthusiasm, it was agreed that after "one paragraph per person", the lifting bar must be handed over to one person.
In stark contrast to Qingqing, "patient" Yaoyao died of a heart attack on the 20th day of rescue.
At the time when the third comprehensive survey of giant pandas in the country was launched in Foping, Qingqing and Yaoyao provided based data and spiritual inspiration for the "three adjustments" work.
10) Spring Breeze
After Dandan, the giant panda "Spring Wind" once again dedicated an "earthquake" to the wildlife protection industry.
On March 26 and 27, 2003, the "beautiful woman" Chunfeng presided over two contests in the Gaojiecai Building of the Sanguan Temple Huodi Dam for two consecutive days, which were recorded by researchers from Foping Conservation Area, the Institute of Zoology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Northwest University and other units with video records.
Around the beginning of winter that year, the staff of Foping Conservation Area took images of spring breezes raising children.
The spring breeze and its children are indispensable to humanity's approach to the wild world.
11) Mei Mei
In April 2009, a female injured and sick giant panda was found at the mouth of Meizigou in the area of Yueba Conservation Station, which is "Meimei". When she was found, Mei Mei was injured in her left forefoot and was in a slightly worse mental state. Wound treatment on the spot, artificial feeding, can take the initiative to eat. The next day, Meimei was sent to the Shaanxi Provincial Rare Wildlife Breeding Research Center and died a few months later.
Meimei is an important material panda in the process of rescue giant panda case analysis.
12) Seven boys
Qizaiyi is just a brown giant panda of the same kind as Dandan, and it still enjoys the same attention as Dandan. On October 27, 2009, it was found in the jurisdiction of sanguanmiao protection station in Foping Conservation Area. Because it is the seventh brown giant panda recorded in the history of science, it is named "Seven Boys".
Qizai currently lives in the Shaanxi Provincial Rare Wildlife Rescue and Breeding Research Center. Today, Qizai is a gentleman, and people are full of expectations for Qizai and its descendants.
13) Mi San
On February 25, 2014, an elderly, sick, skinny male giant panda was found outside the walls of the SanguanMiao Protection Station, known as "Mi San". Mizo died on the 9th day of the intervention of artificial rescue measures. After dissection, it was found that the cause of death was mainly intestinal perforation. Misan has accumulated case experience in the prevention and control of giant panda diseases.
14) Joy
About 10 years ago, a cute giant panda approached humans, and still maintains a distance from researchers as a "human cat" that is similar to the distance but close, and is loved to be called "joy". Joy is a healthy, brave, intelligent, big waist round "handsome" cat, often to the admiring human friends staged "in the dream to find it thousands of degrees, Yi people but in the lights out of the lights" style romantic encounter, these adventure-like "meet the cat" witnesses, are all excited by joy.
This year, Joy continues to bravely participate in the fierce battle of the mating season, and its decisiveness, domineering, and good use of strategy have given us full confidence in the reproduction of the giant panda population in the region.
