On February 24, the People's Government of Yuanling County, Huaihua City, announced the seventh batch of county-level intangible cultural heritage representative projects, and six items, including traditional skills such as "Yuanling Daqu Wine Making Technique", "Yuanling Tujia Wang Shelan Meat Making Technique", "Yuanling Longxing Crisp Sugar Making Technique", "Exhausting Beach Tea Making Technique", traditional art category "Chenzhou Paper-cutting", and folklore "Yuanling Dancing Incense", were officially included in the seventh batch of county-level intangible cultural heritage representative project list.
All along, the county has conscientiously implemented the "Law of the People's Republic of China on Intangible Cultural Heritage" and the "Implementation Opinions of the People's Government of Hunan Province on Strengthening the Protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Our Province", adhered to the principle of "protection first, rescue first, rational utilization, inheritance and development" of intangible cultural heritage, and continuously increased the protection of intangible cultural heritage in accordance with the principle of "overall planning, classification guidance, highlighting key points, and step-by-step implementation". The county intangible cultural heritage protection center organizes special personnel to go down to the grass-roots level for many years to carry out census, excavation and collation, and carefully do a good job in archiving, entering and declaring intangible cultural heritage projects. At the same time, the declaration of intangible cultural heritage projects at all levels is written, experts are invited to review the declared projects, and the declaration, inheritance and development of representative intangible cultural heritage projects continue to be strengthened.
The announcement of the six intangible cultural heritage projects in this batch marks the new achievements in the protection of intangible cultural heritage in Yuanling County, and plays an important role in promoting the integration and development of culture and tourism in the county. According to statistics, the county is currently officially included in the list of representative items of intangible cultural heritage at the national level, 2 at the provincial level, 9 at the municipal level and 17 at the county level, and the number of intangible cultural heritage items ranks among the top in the city.
