Burning river gods, ugly creatures that enslave humans, cyborgs with countless arms... The series of short films directed by District 9 is really chilling and addictive. In just 20 minutes, director Neil has created a weird and terrifying image, and even has some cult film flavor.

Oatsstudio is a studio founded in 2017 by South African director Neil Blomkamp with the goal of producing many radical, fun, and experimental short films, measuring whether to make them into full films based on audience feedback.
Founder and director Neil Blomkamp has been a sci-fi fan since childhood, especially the sci-fi film Alien, which gave him the idea of becoming a director.
Neil, who directed feature films for the first time, surprised the global film scene with "District 9", but unfortunately, the two blockbusters "Elysium Space" and "Super Chapai" did not perform as expected.
At present, the studio has launched a number of short films, the highest quality is "Fire Bunker", "Raqqa", "Zygote Xeno", although it is a short film of more than 20 minutes, but the special effects, cast is unambiguous, and even invited big stars such as Sigour River (starring in "Alien"), the young and famous Dakota Fanning and Steve Bowie.
Fire Bunker
Fire Bunker is a war magic film about U.S. troops being attacked by the monster "the river god" on the battlefields of Vietnam.
The pseudo-documentary style of the Vietnamese battlefield is bloody and makes people's scalps tingle.
As the war progressed, strange things kept happening.
The U.S. military has been defeated, countless casualties have been killed and injured, and a terrible name has been repeatedly mentioned in the mouths of survivors.
The river god, an invincible "demon", resurrected the dead soldiers and formed his own zombie army.
Panicked, the U.S. military ignited the jungle with incendiary bombs, and everything was reduced to ashes.
And yet the unthinkable happened—
The river god still stood there silently, he could not feel the pain, he could not even see his exact form.
A soldier who had seen the river god and was lucky enough to survive recounted his miraculous experience.
One second he was still fighting in Vietnam, the next he was at a U.S. air base, saw the Soviet Union land in the United States, and fired blue flames.
And then the next second, he returned to the Vietnamese battlefield with a burning blue flame, and was burned beyond recognition.
Why did the river god make enemies of the U.S. army?
Originally, The River God was just a Vietnamese farmer, and during a military operation, the U.S. military killed his family.
Extreme anger and hatred caused his entire body tissues to tear apart, turning him into a demon wandering on the Mekong River.
The U.S. military did not sit still, they prepared a time capsule suit to fight the "River God" to the death...
"Raqqa"
"rakka" tells the story of a crocodile-shaped colony of alien creatures, and humans constantly fight back to survive.
"rakka" means "falling" and foreshadows the decay and depravity of human beings.
The story is set in 2020, when Earth is captured by an alien species.
This group of ugly alien creatures code-named "klum" arrived on Earth and went on a killing spree, wantonly destroying the earth's ecology.
They destroy buildings with shock waves,
They use humans as incubators for juveniles.
They built huge machines that produce methane to transform the atmospheric environment.
Forests are destroyed, climates are warming, flooding ...
Even when humans look at them, they lose their minds and become their slaves.
The "brainwashed" began lobbying the remaining people to join the greenhouses built for humans by extraterrestrial creatures.
Humans are not tied up, survivors are assembling in the shadows, fighting the aliens in an arduous struggle.
Even at the cost of committing suicide with the enemy.
With little success, survivor leader Jasper had to negotiate with sociopaths noosh to obtain shields and explosives resistant to the control of alien creatures.
The arrival of the aliens excited the noosh, because without the constraints of the law, he can do whatever he wants.
Survivors discover amir, a failed experiment for an alien creature, and bring him back to base.
"Modified" by extraterrestrial beings, Amir possesses the abilities of those alien creatures and can predict the future.
Through amir's perception, in the near future, jasper's team will be ambushed,
A team member is controlled by an alien creature and shoots at his teammate...
Zygote Xenomorph
Zygote is the third short film from Oat Studios that tells a brain-opening thriller.
Cyborg Beckley is an employee of Hellhound Mining Company, a mining company in the Arctic Circle.
Ever since a magical light shone down, strange things have happened.
A monster made up of human tissue that constantly mutilates the company's employees, a company of 98 people, leaving only the artificial man Beckley Chief Quinn 2 people.
Cyborg Beckley is an employee bought by Hellhound Mining to replace humans working in harsh environments.
Artificial humans have a low status, and it is their mission to protect human beings.
Beckley and Quinn are trapped in a room, running out of food, and the two plan to break out and take refuge in the company's shelter.
Before leaving, Quinn told Beckley about what had happened to him.
He saw colleagues break down all the other colleagues, combine the brains of dozens of mice into a new brain, and use the limbs of those colleagues to form new monsters.
At first he didn't know what was happening, but when the light came into his eyes, he finally understood what had happened, that the alien light could manipulate human consciousness, and that his colleague was controlled by the mysterious light.
In order to get rid of the alien control, Quinn gouges out his eyes, which is how to escape.
As the two men crossed the narrow corridor, the monster appeared.
Beckley ran out of bullets from the gun, but didn't stop the monster.
In a moment of crisis, Quinn tells Beckley a secret.
She is not artificial, but human. Artificial humans cost much more than humans, and Hellhound Mining tricks her into being an artificial human, just trying to get them to work in dangerous jobs at a lower cost.
The injured Quinn understands that it is difficult to escape, so she voluntarily stays behind to stop the monster and cuts off her finger, with which Beckley can open the door of the shelter.
After all kinds of difficulties, Beckley finally got rid of the monster and hid in the shelter.
It is worth mentioning that the film was filmed in Diefenbunker, a retired Cold War-era nuclear radiation refuge for the Canadian government - now the Canadian Cold War Museum.
