This year's Mid-Autumn Festival Music and Poetry Festival is guided by the Hunan Poetry Society, the Shaoyang Municipal Literary Association, the Propaganda Department of the Shaodong County Party Committee, sponsored by the Shaodong County Literary Association, and hosted by the Shaodong County Writers Association and the Shaodong County Poetry Society.

On July 12, 2019, the State Council approved the establishment of Shaodong County as a city.
With the goal of "building a strong county of poetry", Shaodong County has rooted in the soil of life and conformed to the call of the times, with remarkable achievements in poetry creation and an increasingly large poetry creation team. There are more than 1,000 poetry creators in the county, 70 members of the Provincial Poetry Society, and the poems of poets in the county have been published in various literary journals such as "Poetry Journal", "Stars", "Prose Poetry", "Furong", "Hunan Literature", "Xiangjiang Literature and Art", etc.
