Shahe Reservoir real shot: spoonbill, spotted, green-winged, magpie duck and other rare wild ducks

In Beijing in March, the Shahe Reservoir ushered in the return of hundreds of birds, especially the migratory birds of the geese and ducks, and the ordinary autumn sand duck, spotted autumn sand duck, crested diving duck and so on at the beginning of the month have been sporadically visible. The large number of people in the reservoir now is the red mallard duck, followed by a group of green-winged ducks on the south bank with a pair of spot-billed ducks, a small group of magpie and red-winged ducks near the dam, three or four spoonbills, and more recently a group of upturned ducks. As of press time, magpie ducks, red-breasted ducks and spoonbills have flown away.

Shahe Reservoir is a small wetland relatively close to the city center, and it is also one of the few migratory birds in Beijing, although it has been treated, it still has excessive sewage discharge, garbage on the shore can be seen everywhere, dead fish floating on the water, fishing boats with black smoke running through the river, and the north bank sewage outlet and dam are hung with floating objects and emit a pungent smell. Here, we call on the relevant departments to thoroughly control the Shahe Reservoir and give these migratory birds a beautiful and natural wetland home.
