China has built or is under construction a number of island new energy microgrid systems, including Dongfushan Island, Nanji Island, Luxi Island in Zhejiang, Meizhou Island in Fujian, Dong'ao Island in Guangdong, Yongxing Island in Sansha, Hainan, and Changdao in Shandong. These projects have made a good demonstration for the promotion and application of new energy microgrids on islands.
1. Zhejiang Dongfushan Island microgrid
Zhejiang Dongfushan Island microgrid belongs to the isolated island power generation system, using renewable clean energy as the main power supply, diesel power generation as the supplementary power supply mode, to supply the load of the island residents and a set of seawater desalination system with a daily treatment of 50 tons. The project is equipped with 100kwp photovoltaic, 210kw wind power, 200kw diesel engine and 960kwh lead-acid alternating battery, with a total installed capacity of 510kw and access to 0.4kv voltage level. The system is operated by Guodian Zhejiang Zhoushan Offshore Wind Power Development Co., Ltd., which was completed and put into operation in April 2011 and can operate independently.
Higashifukuyama Island has been running for 2 years and 5 months, and it is still relatively successful in terms of design conditions. Energy design from one megawatt hour is more appropriate, because there are only two operating modes of HigashiFukuyama Island every day, one is the diesel generator operation mode, and the other is the PCS operation mode, which is completely dependent on wind and solar storage. Especially at night, the diesel generator should be turned off, because the whole island is very small, and the operation of the diesel generator at night will affect the sleep of the islanders. Therefore, the diesel generator does not open at night, completely relying on wind and solar storage, from this point of view, energy storage every day a charge and discharge cycle to do.
Second, Guangdong Zhuhai Dong'ao Island scenery diesel storage micro-grid
One of the projects supported by the national "Solar Roof Plan" policy in 2009. It was completed and put into use in July 2010.
Guangdong Zhuhai Dong'ao Island wind and photovoltaic diesel storage microgrid voltage level of 10kv, including 1.04mwp photovoltaic, 50kw wind power, 1220kw diesel engine, 2000kwh lead-acid battery and intelligent control, multi-level power grid safety and rapid entry or cutting out, to achieve micro-energy and load integration, clean energy access and operation, but also has a local and remote energy control system. The project is managed and operated by Singyes Solar and can be operated independently. It is understood that the energy storage device used in the microgrid system of Dong'ao Island is a lead-acid battery, a total of 4 groups of 960 pieces, a total price of 1.68 million yuan, and a service life of 10 years.
Ten years ago, Dong'ao Island was known for its beautiful scenery, but few tourists set foot on it because of the lack of electricity. Today, the microgrid solves the problem of electricity consumption on Dong'ao Island, and tourists also come to visit.
As the first microgrid project in China to successfully commercialize operation, the Zhuhai Dong'ao Island project has always attracted much attention from the industry and is regarded as a breakthrough in innovative practices in the power sector. The project, invested and built by China Industrial Solar Technology Holdings Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Industrial Company) in 2009, not only solved the problem of electricity consumption for residents on the island, but also became a benchmark for the construction of domestic microgrid projects, directly driving a large number of similar projects to take root.
The Dong'ao Island microgrid project does not use the above-mentioned traditional transmission mode, but the power-user direct transmission model, that is, solar power is directly delivered to the user, and does not necessarily go through the transit link of the energy storage system. "Energy storage is to store excess energy, but in our system, once this happens, the solar power generation unit is directly shut down."
"The most critical role of energy storage is to regulate the balance." According to Li Sheng, in the Dong'ao Island microgrid system, when the power generation is hourly, the energy storage is a generator, involved in power generation; When the amount of electricity is generated, energy storage is a power facility that can store excess energy.
3. Zhejiang Luxi Island microgrid
The 1.2mw wind power generation system, 500kw photovoltaic power generation system, energy storage system, microgrid central operation monitoring and energy management system and single-family microgrid system built on Luxi Island can realize the flexible switching of grid-connected and isolated grid operation modes, and can provide clean renewable energy for users throughout the island.
Luxi Island is a key marine fishing base along the coast of southern Zhejiang, one of the rear supply bases of wenzhou cailanzi project, and a well-known sea bird island.
The grid-connected microgrid demonstration project located in Luxi Island, Dongtou County, is one of the two demonstration projects of the National 863 Program "Research and Development of Key Technologies for Microgrids with Distributed Generation".
The commissioning of the project has fully developed and utilized the island's rich green resources such as wind and solar energy, and a reliable micro-intelligent power supply network to effectively solve the problem of island power supply; It is also a useful exploration of the new grid operation mode of distributed generation, energy storage and load composition, which is of positive significance for promoting the application of new technologies in the island power grid, and provides a model for island power supply in Zhejiang and even the whole country.
The project was put into operation in January 2014.
4. Zhejiang Nanji island microgrid
Located in Pingyang County, Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, Nanji Island is one of the "Top Ten Most Beautiful Islands in China".
Due to its unique resource advantages and green environment, Nanji Island was selected as a pilot of the "National 863 Program Microgrid Project". In the future, the island's beautiful natural resources will become local sources of electricity, realizing the comprehensive utilization of light, wind and marine energy.
With a total investment of 150 million yuan, the Nanjidao microgrid demonstration project mainly builds a 1,000-kilowatt wind power generation system, a 545-kilowatt photovoltaic power generation system, a 30-kilowatt offshore current power generation system and a 1,000-kilowatt energy storage system on the island, retaining the diesel power generation system, combining advanced smart grid technologies such as electric vehicle charging and replacing power stations, smart meters, and user interaction, to meet the needs of building ecological islands and environmentally friendly islands.
Clean energy such as wind and light is intermittent, after the application of microgrids, no wind, no sun, how to use electricity on the island?
Microgrid engineering has also been considered, first of all, there are still diesel generators on the island, and more importantly, advanced energy storage systems will be installed on the island. The battery in the energy storage system can store 1000 kilowatts of electrical energy, store electricity at the peak of power generation, and provide stable power supply when the power supply is insufficient. In the future, all cars on the island will also become part of the energy storage system.
On May 19, 2012, the construction of the Nanji Island charging and replacing power station was started at the same time. At present, there are nearly 30 cars on Nanji Island, which are basically government cars and buses. In the future, it is planned to replace all cars on the island with electric vehicles to create an island that "does not use oil for driving".
"Each electric car will be equipped with 4 sets of batteries, which can last about 80 kilometers, and can almost turn the island three or four times." The car runs out of power, the driver can go to the power station to replace the battery, the whole process is only five or six minutes, more convenient than the car refueling. The relevant person in charge of Binh Duong Electric Power Company introduced.
The project has won strong support and affirmation from local government departments. In order to promote the Nanji Island microgrid project, the Nanji Islands National Nature Reserve Management Bureau has given great cooperation in the stages of project planning, project approval and construction.
Construction began in May 2012 and was put into operation in September 2014.
5. Hainan Sansha Yongxing Island microgrid
The 500-kilowatt independent photovoltaic smart microgrid project in Sansha City, Hainan Province, undertaken by Hainan Tianneng Electric Power Co., Ltd., was completed and put into operation on December 31, 2013, is the first independent photovoltaic smart microgrid project in Hainan, and the island has basically formed an island-type multi-energy complementary microgrid on Woody Island, providing a more reliable renewable and clean energy guarantee for the military and civilians on the island.
In order to support the construction of Sansha, Hainan Tianneng Power took the initiative to undertake the project and began to plan the construction of an independent photovoltaic power generation system on Woody Island. In the process of demonstration, Hainan Tianneng found that only the construction of an independent photovoltaic power generation system cannot completely solve the organic integration of photovoltaic and the original diesel engine power generation system, and then realize the coordinated linkage of power dispatching throughout the island, give full play to the comprehensive integration of various energy sources on the island, and build a clean energy integrated supply system as the final plan. Based on this consensus, Tianneng Power quickly increased its investment in the project, convened a number of microgrid experts for discussion many times, established an attempt to build a microgrid on the island, made full use of renewable energy such as solar, wind and marine energy, actively used clean energy such as natural gas and biomass energy (biogas), and combined with new environmental protection energy storage technologies to form a micro-intelligent energy control and dispatch network.
From Wenchang Island in Haikou to Yongxing Island, the ferry needs to continue to sail for more than 18 hours, the island is poor in materials, and even the most basic civil engineering materials need to be transported from Haikou, and the construction difficulty can be imagined. From the narration of the construction staff, the reporter learned that in a sand transportation, the transport boat that was about to arrive at the shore encountered strong winds, and the workers were reluctant to throw some sand materials into the sea, and Xu Xiangcheng, general manager of Tianneng Power Company, issued an order to immediately abandon the materials to ensure the safety of the construction personnel. It is understood that such a thrilling encounter is far more than once. Super typhoons are even more destructive, and some of the built components are often found to be blown down by the typhoon.
Although these delayed the construction process, they did not affect the determination and construction pace of Hainan Tianneng people, and Hainan Tianneng also ingeniously designed a plan to increase the roof building fence to ensure that photovoltaic modules are not damaged.
Today, the 500kw Sansha microgrid system project has been successfully put into operation. The project installed photovoltaic modules as distributed energy sources on the roofs on both sides of Beijing Road in Yongxing Island, Sansha City, with 1000kwh lithium iron phosphate batteries as energy storage and buffering, and combined with smart microgrid control technology, provided high-quality green power for Sansha power supply loads, becoming the first smart microgrid system in Hainan Province.
Feng Wenhai, deputy mayor of Sansha Municipal Government, said: "The completion and operation of the Sansha photovoltaic power generation demonstration project has well solved the problem of military and civilian production and living electricity on the island, laid a good foundation for the development of electricity on the island and the efficient and comprehensive utilization of energy, and in the future, the microgrid model will be expected to be extended to the Xisha Islands and other islands, and truly realize the synchronous development of ecological protection and economic construction." ”
6. Energy storage and microgrid on Meizhou Island in Fujian Province
The Meizhou Island Energy Storage Power Station Project is the first island energy storage project in China that is directly connected to the 10 kV distribution network. The project is a key scientific and technological project of the State Grid Corporation, with a total investment of about 24 million yuan, which started construction in March 2013 and was jointly organized and implemented by the State Grid Putian Power Supply Company and the Fujian Electric Power Research Institute. On September 25, 2014, the Science and Technology Department of the State Grid Corporation organized acceptance experts to Gouda Meizhou Island, and through on-site observation, listening to work reports and viewing materials, the acceptance team unanimously agreed that the project reached the international advanced level and was reviewed and approved.
The energy storage power station is built next to the substation at the inlet of the submarine cable on Meizhou Island, and is connected to the 10 kV busbar in the substation, and supplies power to the whole island together with the submarine cable. The project was put into operation on July 2 this year (2014). The project covers an area of more than 400 square meters, mainly consisting of 1 MW/2 MWh lithium iron phosphate battery energy storage system, two 500 kVA two-way converters, system monitoring and access system. The energy storage power station is close to the Meizhou Island submarine cable into the island switch station, looking at the 110 kV Zhongmen substation on the opposite side of the sea, and the energy storage power station is connected to the 10 kV busbar of the switch station, which supplies power to the island together with the submarine cable.
The project will introduce new standards for international new energy technology, develop and build the island 'microgrid' on the basis of energy storage power stations, and build Meizhou Island into a smart grid integrated demonstration project characterized by the utilization of renewable energy such as wind energy and solar energy, so as to ensure the stable energy supply of the island.
Meizhou Island Energy Storage Power Station is an important part of Meizhou's future energy Internet. To this end, Putian Power Supply Company proposed the use of microgrid construction plan to build a "smart ecological strait island" that integrates power generation, power distribution and electricity consumption.
In the near future, it is planned to build a microgrid near the energy storage power station to ensure the power supply of important loads such as Mazu Temple and Lighthouse, and the distributed generation on the island provides energy supply for residents.
Medium-term planning, expand renewable energy access, including photovoltaics, wind power and other renewable energy generation and electric vehicles of green and economic power supply and consumption system to provide clean green energy for islands, the mainland, the plan in the medium term renewable energy access will reach 24 MW of wind power access, photovoltaic power generation access of 8 MW。
Long-term planning, will eventually build a comprehensive intelligent ecological island including renewable energy, clean and intelligent electric vehicle energy supply center, intelligent electricity, smart home, etc., of which renewable energy will reach 48 MW of wind power and 16 MW of photovoltaics.
7. Shandong Long Island microgrid
As the only island county in Shandong Province, Long Island is composed of 32 islands, with a special geographical location, accelerating the construction of long island power grid is of great importance to serving the construction of international leisure resort islands and local economic development.
According to the plan, the Long Island power grid will be divided into four microgrids, the north and south Changshan microgrids; Large and small Black Mountain Temple Island microgrid, Dazhushan microgrid, northern five islands microgrid. The first implementation is the JijiDao microgrid in the North Five Islands microgrid. Construction is scheduled to begin in September 2013 and is expected to be completed in November.
The content of the Long Island microgrid project includes the development and construction of a microgrid coordinated control and dispatch system, the construction of an energy storage system on Tongji Island, the transformation of the existing diesel generator sets and power grids in the northern five islands, and the construction of a microgrid system with distributed power generation, load, energy storage system, energy conversion device and regulation system, so as to realize the grid-connected control of clean energy in the northern five islands and the safe operation of the power grid, and accumulate experience for the promotion and application of the microgrid in the future.
