Talk about the red face in the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms": concubines Yunying and Chunxiang

There is no shortage of beautiful women in the world, such as Xi Shi and Ruo Sable Cicada. But what really makes them popular for hundreds of years is not their posture of desperation, but their involvement in political struggles, which is the origin of the red face disaster.

Talk about the red face in the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms": concubines Yunying and Chunxiang

Yun Ying and Chun Xiang: A pocket version of the Red Face Disaster Water that endangers the Han Room

In "Water Margin", those sluts who are colorless and unscrupulous, widowed and shameful abound, compared with "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" after all, the historical background is large-scale, and there are not many bad women deliberately portrayed in this regard. If you insist on saying that there is, Dong Cheng's concubine Yunying and Huang Kui's concubine Chunxiang are about two.

Concubines are commonly known as little wives. In feudal times, they were not legitimate wives, and they were of low status and belonged to the slave trade. Not only may they endure the jealousy and scolding of their eldest wives, but they may also be bought and sold as commodities.

The so-called oppression, where there is resistance, this repressive status will inevitably cause a distortion of character. Therefore, Confucius said that "only women and villains are difficult to raise", and the "women" here are not killing women all over the world with a stick, but mostly refer to the category of concubines.

In the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, dong cheng, Liu Bei, Ma Teng, and Wang Zifu, seven ministers, accepted emperor Xiandi's edict of blood and prepared to get rid of Cao Cao, who was "bullying the king and hegemony". And their two plans were bad for these two women.

Once, at the beginning of the fifth year of Jian'an (200 AD), Dong Cheng and others conspired with the taiyi Jiping to take advantage of the opportunity to treat Cao Cao's illness and poison the medicine to kill the adulterous male. After the discussion, Dong Chengxizizi walked into the back hall, but the housekeeper Qin Qingtong "whispered in the dark" with his concubine Yunying.

That Dong Cheng, as the elder brother-in-law of Emperor Xian of Han, was also a member of Dong Zhuo's subordinates, and he was immediately furious: "These two slaves, men and women are mixed, either adultery or theft!" "Then he told the left and right to take it down and kill it!"

If he really wanted to kill him, Dong Cheng's wife came out to intercede, so each of them beat forty sticks and locked Qin Qingtong in a side room. As a result, Qin Qingtong, with a grudge in his heart, took advantage of the night to break the lock, jumped out of the wall, and went to see Cao Cao, revealing that Dong Cheng had conspired with Wang Zifu and others at home before, and later muttered with Ji Ping there, most likely to harm Xiang Xiang!

Cao Cao listened to Qin Qingtong's revelations, and although he did not believe it, he was also wary, so he first hid Qin Qingtong in the palace. And Dong Cheng couldn't find Qin Qingtong, and he didn't even ask any questions, only thinking that he had "fled to other sides and didn't pursue."

The next day, Cao Cao pretended to be ill and asked Ji Ping for treatment, ji Ping took the opportunity to poison the medicine, but was captured by Cao Cao on the spot and tortured. Although Ji Pingning died unyieldingly and committed suicide heroically, Cao Cao still arrested all five ministers, including Dong Cheng and Wang Zifu, and cut them all over the door. Dong Cheng's daughter Dong Guifei was also cut down by Cao Cao.

To say that this incident failed, Dong Cheng was of course to blame himself. He plotted such a big thing, but he did not carefully avoid idlers, so that a small household slave Qin Qingtong could see that something was wrong, which was really too sloppy. At the critical moment of planning the assassination of Cao Cao, he was also distracted from finding the obscurity of the woman and the villain, which was also important or heavy. Since he had found obscurity, he simply killed and killed him, but he listened to his wife's advice and did not kill; if he did not kill, he would not kill, and he would also hit forty large boards to attract people's jealousy; after the fight, he locked up and refused to close it strictly, and he could actually be run out of the palace by a Qin Qingtong who had neither divine power nor light merit. What's even more confusing is that such a person who may have leaked his secrets ran away, and actually ran away, and Uncle Dong Guo didn't pay any vigilance, and also let Ji Tai Doctor poison as usual! This series of performances can be said to be the evil man, but not to the end, plainly offended the woman and the villain, and buried his own and comrades' lives.

In contrast, Yuan Ang, a minister in the Western Han Dynasty, did a much more beautiful job.

Tip: Yuan An's story

Yuan Ang had previously served as a chancellor in the State of Wu, and had a clerk under him who secretly had an affair with one of Yuan Ang's concubines. Yuan Ang knew about this, but as if he were fine, he didn't pursue it at all. Later, someone told the clerk that you hooked up with Yuan Ang's concubine, and Old Yuan already knew! The clerk was so frightened that he left his job and ran, yuan Ang personally led someone to chase him back, and after chasing him back, he gave him a concubine as his wife and restored his position.

In this way, the clerk was of course grateful to Yuan Ang. Later, Liu Hao, the king of Wu, rebelled and sent troops to guard Yuan Ang, persuaded him to surrender, and wanted to kill him. The original clerk, Sima Wu, who happened to be the guard of Yuan Ang at this time, drunk the soldiers with fine wine, and then took Yuan Ang out of the military camp and fled back to the imperial court. So Yuan Ang's original magnanimity gained his own life.

The concubines of the rich are the private property of kittens and puppies, and they are completely disrespected. Therefore, in Dong Cheng's view, such a dog slave is, of course, not enough to be killed, and it is not enough to be afraid to keep. So he can insult them without hesitation, threaten them, or deprive them of their lives without any evidence for the sake of a few whispers.

However, even people of lowliness will have their emotions and dignity. When oppressed, you may choose to endure silence, but you may also fight to the death. From the standpoint of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Dong Cheng's assassination of Cao Cao has the color of resisting rape and upholding justice, but from Qin Qingtong's point of view, his escape from Dong Mansion and informing Cao Cao, although it is obvious revenge, why not see it as a rebellion against another kind of rape?

From this point of view, if Yunying really had an adulterous affair with Qin Qingtong, then she was at least a reliable man.

This story about Qin Qingtong and Yunying is a fiction of Luo Guanzhong in the "Yanyi", and only Dong Cheng and others secretly murdered Cao Cao in history, and the incident was revealed. And the ending of this pair of men and women, "Yanyi" also did not tell. Extrapolating from common sense, Cao Cao may not be too indebted to Qin Qingtong, who has made great achievements. And Yunying, if he had not been burned by a jade stone when Cao Cao killed Dong Chengman, then perhaps qin Qingtong had asked Cao Cao to marry him and have a settled home from then on.

Or perhaps, the so-called "hook-up" between Qin Qingtong and Yunying was originally the illusion of Dong Cheng's wishful thinking, Qin Qingtong was inexplicably beaten, which gave rise to the intention of revenge, then in the future, Yunying's death or death naturally does not have to be concerned.

In contrast, another story of the curse of water is much clearer.

According to the "Yanyi", in the sixteenth year of Jian'an (211 AD), Cao Cao used the emperor's edict to summon the Western Liang warlord Ma Teng to Beijing. Ma Teng was also a member of Dong Cheng's and Liu Bei's "Seven-Man Extermination Group", but now he and Liu Bei have only survived, and when they received the edict, they brought five thousand elite soldiers into Beijing, hoping to take advantage of the opportunity to cooperate with the outside world and destroy Cao Cao.

Arriving at xu capital, the attendant Huang Kui was ordered to come to the labor army and privately took the initiative to confess to Ma Teng, saying that he also deeply hated the national thief Cao Cao, and also pointed out Cao Cao's sinister intentions in calculating Ma Teng. Ma Teng, overjoyed, consulted with Huang Kui on a plan, and prepared to take advantage of Cao Cao's departure from the city in the coming day to launch a surprise attack, kill Cao Cao, and rescue the emperor.

Huang Ze and Ma Teng agreed on a plan and returned home. Because during the day, the two of them passionately scolded the national thief Cao Cao, and the scolding was very enjoyable, so when they arrived home, they were still reminiscing, and the anger was still endless. Huang Ze's wife looked at her husband's appearance, felt strange in her heart, and asked again and again. Huang Zeke was much more reliable than Dong Cheng, gritting his teeth and refusing to tell the truth.

Who knew that this abnormal look was looked at by another woman, that is, Huang Kui's concubine Li Chunxiang.

This Li Chunxiang is not a good thing, she and Huang Kui's brother-in-law Miao Ze already had an affair and hooked up into adultery. Since ancient times, the big and small wives are often the sworn enemies of the common heavens, and the little wife is angry with the big wife in the family status, but she can find the scene through the brother of the big wife, but it can also be regarded as "saving the country by curve".

Li Chunxiang quietly went to Miao Ze and said, Today, my brother-in-law Huang Kui went to Ma Teng to discuss the military situation, and came back with a face full of anger, I don't know what happened?

Miao Ze's IQ is not low, combined with Huang Kui's weekdays, he guessed that eight or nine are not far from ten. He said to Li Chunxiang, "Tonight, you pretend to be casual and say to Huang Kui: Everyone says that Liu Bei is a benevolent person, and Cao Cao is a traitor, is this not the case?" See how he reacts? ”

Li Chunxiang listened to Miao Ze's arrangement and used this to test Huang Kui that night. Huang Kui happened to be drunk, and seeing that this concubine next to him was so considerate of his own heart, he finally relaxed his vigilance and sighed: "Even you, a woman and a Taoist family, know good and evil, let alone my manhood?" The reason why I am indignant today is because I am ready to kill Cao Cao, a traitor! ”

Li Chunxiang's psychological quality was not low, and he followed up with a question: "Cao Cao has a lot of soldiers, how can you kill him?" ”

Huang Kui said, "I have already made an agreement with General Ma Teng, and tomorrow when Cao Cao leaves the city to order troops, I will kill him!" ”

After Huang Kui confused and put out his own and Ma Teng's plans and plans, he went to sleep. Li Chunxiang immediately told Miao Ze, and Miao Ze immediately went to Cao Cao to inform.

There is no suspense in the rest of the matter. The next day, Cao Cao attacked first, sent troops to besiege the Western Liang army, captured Ma Teng's father and son, and beheaded Huang Kui. Before the execution, Huang Kui shouted "wronged", and Cao Cao ordered Miao Ze to be taken out to confront. So Huang Kui had nothing to say, and Ma Teng's anger was thunderous: "Shu Ru mistook me for a big deal!" ”

In "Yanyi", the focus of this story is to talk about Ma Teng, in order to let Ma Teng have a dignified exit, leading to a series of wonderful scenes such as Ma Chao's soldiers to avenge his father, killing Cao Cao to cut his beard and abandon his robe, and fighting with Xu Chu's naked clothes, Huang Kui is just a supporting role, and Li Chunxiang and Miao Ze are supporting roles in supporting roles. However, the ending is somewhat intriguing:

After Ma Teng's father and son were captured, Miao Ze said to Cao Cao, I have made this merit for Cheng Xiang, and I do not ask for any rewards, but only ask to marry Li Chunxiang.

Who knew that Cao Cao laughed and said, "You have harmed your brother-in-law's family for the sake of a woman, so what is the use of keeping you unrighteous person?" So he ordered Miao Ze and Li Chunxiang, the adulterers and adulterers, to be beheaded at the same time as Huang Kui's family! There are poems in the "Yanyi" commentary:

Miao Ze was selfishly harming the xingchen, and Chun Xiang was not injured. The adulterous male is also incompatible, and he is vainly plotting to be a villain. ”

This kind of passage is not uncommon in history. For example, when Genghis Khan defeated his brother Zamuhe, Zamuhe's pro-soldiers captured Zamuhe and gave it to Genghis Khan, Genghis Khan was furious: "The pro-soldier betrayed his master, what is the use of this pro-soldier?" "First, behead the soldiers together." This is related to the Mongols' extreme admiration for warriors and contempt for traitors, and of course because Zamuhe's past relationship with Genghis Khan was too unusual.

For example, during the Eastern Jin Dynasty, the Former Qin army attacked Xiangyang for a year, because some people in the Jin army opened the door and surrendered, Xiangyang fell, and the defender Zhu Xu was captured. Former Qin Emperor Jian Jian promoted Zhu Xu to a knighthood, but instead killed the people who opened the door and surrendered. This example is a typical brain attack, which laid the foundation for the great defeat of Jian Jian in the battle of Shuishui in the future.

However, as far as Cao Cao was concerned, he and Huang Kui did not have the friendship between Genghis Khan and Zamuhe, and Brother Cao himself was not the benevolence of a woman like Jian Jian. In his lifetime, he has recruited countless rebels, so why is he so cruel to Miao Ze and Li Chunxiang?

On the one hand, although Miao Ze is a little clever, he is not a usable talent, and his morality is corrupt, and it is really of little significance for such a person to stay. On the other hand, Cao Cao was a pseudonymous Han Xiang at that time, and had tens of millions of subordinates under his command. For him, the more common way to destroy the enemy now is to use superior forces to carry out frontal attacks. And once such a perfidious betrayal like Miao Ze becomes a practice that everyone imitates, it will do more harm than good to Lao Cao. Based on these two points, it is not surprising that the spontaneous fucking brother sent a pair of dog men and women to the court.

Luo Guanzhong in the front does not explain the ending of Qin Qingtong and Yunying; in the back, he specifically explains Cao Cao's killing of Miao Ze Li Chunxiang, and even gives poetry as a sigh. This kind of unequal treatment may be arbitrary when Lao Luo writes different chapters, but it is more likely that the two have different identities. Qin Qingtong himself was a domestic slave, in "class opposition" with his master, and before the incident, he was severely beaten by Dong Cheng, which gave rise to the meaning of revenge, which belonged to the common feelings of people, and it was not worth too much. Miao Ze and Huang Kui have no revenge, on the contrary, their close relatives, just for Li Chunxiang, have harmed the lives of their sister and brother-in-law's family, according to traditional Chinese morality, this is too much, no wonder Cao Cao can't look at it.

In fact, from another point of view, according to Li Chunxiang's performance in "Yanyi", it does not say how beautiful she is, but her keen observation and bold execution make people marvel at the case. Discovering Huang Kui's abnormality, and testing Huang Kui according to Miao Ze's arrangement, these steps are all done with a board and an eye, quite a bit of the shadow of the mink cicada undercover. Then Miao Ze's love for him may not be a simple lust for beauty, perhaps including his appreciation of his intelligence and temperament, as well as pity for his fate as a concubine. When Cao Cao inquired, he openly requested to marry Li Chunxiang, which was also called daring to be bold.

Along this line of thinking, the deduction is played, and it is necessary to put it under the hands of western cultural masters, and it is almost possible to write a stage love tragedy. Unfortunately this is in the East. Therefore, even if there are more affectionate models behind them, the Sea Oath Mountain Alliance, Miao Ze and Li Chunxiang, they can only do this pair of Mandarin ducks under the Nine Springs.
