After working in Guangdong for less than two years, Wang Weizhong, a native of Shanxi, went one step further and was promoted from a provincial standing committee member to a deputy secretary of the provincial party committee.

After the collapse of Shanxi in 2014, Wang Weizhong went to Shanxi as one of the airborne soldiers to work, and more than two years later, Wang Weizhong went south and became the first municipal party secretary to be directly "parachuted" from other provinces since the founding of Shenzhen.
Wang Weizhong, born in March 1962, a native of Shuozhou, Shanxi, is an alternate member of the 19th Central Committee.
He graduated from the School of Public Administration of Tsinghua University with a postgraduate degree in Management Science and Engineering, a doctorate in management, and belongs to the "airborne" local officials of the ministry.
According to his resume, after graduating from Tsinghua University, Wang Weizhong went to work in the Ministry of Water Resources and Electric Power, and worked for many years in the State Science and Technology Commission and the Ministry of Science and Technology, including april 2010 to September 2014 as vice minister of science and technology, and then parachuted into Shanxi.
In August 2014, a month before Wang Weizhong parachuted into Shanxi, Nie Chunyu, then a member of the Standing Committee and Secretary-General of the Standing Committee of the Shanxi Provincial Party Committee, fell from power, and Wang Weizhong was supposed to be "fighting fires.".
One of the backgrounds of Wang Weizhong's trip to Shanxi at that time was that the central authorities wanted to "recreate" the Shanxi officialdom after the local collapse and corruption.
On the morning of September 30, 2014, the Shanxi Provincial Party Committee held an enlarged meeting of its Standing Committee, at which it announced the central government's decision on the adjustment and supplementation of the party and government groups in Shanxi Province. With the approval of the central authorities, Huang Xiaowei, Wu Zhenglong, Sun Shaocheng, Wang Weizhong, Fu Jianhua and five others served as members of the Shanxi Provincial CPC Committee and members of the Standing Committee.
It is very rare to be re-elected to five provincial-level standing committee members in one day.
In the past 4 years, the careers of the above five people have also undergone many changes:
Huang Xiaowei arrived at the All-China Women's Federation this year, and is currently the secretary of the party leading group, vice chairman and first secretary of the secretariat; Wu Zhenglong was transferred to Nanjing after two years as secretary of the Taiyuan Municipal Party Committee, and after several years of training, he became the governor of Jiangsu Province in July 2017; Sun Shaocheng worked in Shanxi for more than two years, returned to the Ministry of Civil Affairs in February 2017, and then went to the Ministry of Land and Resources, along with the institutional adjustment, Sun Shaocheng became the new minister of veterans' affairs; Fu Jianhua also worked in Shanxi for two years, returning to Beijing in September 2016. He is currently the Deputy Minister of Emergency Management.
Wang Weizhong, on the other hand, went south in March 2017 and became the number one in Shenzhen, the forefront of reform and opening up.

Xu Qin, the current governor of Hebei Province, served as a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, secretary of the Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee and mayor from December 2016 to March 2017.
Wang Weizhong is special in that he is the first municipal party secretary to be "parachuted" directly from other provinces since the founding of Shenzhen, and although there are many officials who have worked in the central or other provinces for a long time among the secretaries of the shenzhen municipal party committee, they have already experienced other posts in Guangdong Province or Shenzhen when they became the secretaries of the Shenzhen municipal party committee.

Speaking of Shenzhen, I have to mention Huawei.
In May 2016, there was an article that swept the screen, and an article "Don't let Huawei run" caused an uproar. Huawei, the pillar of Shenzhen's technology industry, is planning to move to Dongguan on the edge of Shenzhen.
"When I went to Shenzhen to work in April last year, Huawei's base in Songshan Lake, Dongguan was built," Wang Weizhong said in an interview with Phoenix SATELLITE TV's Q&A Shenzhou in December this year, "Ren zong led Huawei to develop very well over the years, I think some of the statements may be more narrow, you say a lot of big multinational companies, where do you say it is?" In fact, there are branches or enterprises in more than 170 countries around the world, and indeed I have discussed with Mr. Ren many times, and I also respect him. ”
In April 2017, Wang Weizhong, who had been the secretary of the Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee for less than a month, met with Huawei President Ren Zhengfei, who stated that Huawei's headquarters would never leave Shenzhen.
A year later (April this year), the Shenzhen Municipal Government and Huawei signed a cooperation agreement on "taking root in Shenzhen and looking forward to the future", and Wang Weizhongren Zhengfei witnessed the signing.
Wang Weizhong said the following in the above interview:
"Huawei has transferred out some industries, and it is also some layout of its industries, in fact, I think there is nothing." So Mr. Ren told me that we signed an agreement, how many years in the future will not leave Shenzhen, I said that Mr. Ren does not have to sign, the heart is in everything, the heart is not in everything, if the development environment and business environment in Shenzhen is not suitable for your development here, I should not leave you. Later, Mr. Ren said that I would not leave Shenzhen, so later we signed an agreement. We also support Huawei to develop all over the world, and I think you have to be open. What is reform and opening up? Enterprises want to go out. You can't get out of Shenzhen, so how can you go to the world? ”
3 people parachuted into Guangdong
Before Wang Weizhong, ren Xuefeng, deputy secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, went to Chongqing in October this year.
Ren Xuefeng served as Deputy Secretary of the Cpc Committee of Guangdong Province from February 2017 to October 2018, during which time he served as Secretary of the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee (from February 2017 to July 2018).

In 2013, "Aerospace Young Marshal" Ma Xingrui parachuted from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology to Guangdong as deputy secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, and Zhu Mingguo no longer served as deputy secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee. In November 2014, Zhu Mingguo fell.
During his tenure as deputy secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee from 2013 to 2016, Ma Xingrui served as secretary of the Political and Legal Committee and secretary of the Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee, and in 2016, Ma Xingrui was appointed acting governor of Guangdong province, and soon became regular.

Wang Weizhong also took up a new post on the same day as Wang Weizhong, Ye Zhenqin, who was parachuted in from the Ministry of Agriculture, as a new face in the Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee.
Before the two of them took up their new duties, in March this year, Fu Hua, editor-in-chief of the Economic Daily, parachuted into Guangdong to serve as a member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and director of the Propaganda Department, and in July, Zhang Shuofu, member of the Standing Committee of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee and secretary of the Municipal Discipline Inspection Commission, parachuted in as a member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and secretary of the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee.
In the same month that Zhang Shuofu parachuted in, Guangdong Province shot down a tiger -- Zeng Zhiquan, former member of the Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial CPC Committee and former director of the United Front Work Department, was dismissed.
After several adjustments, the Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee has increased to 11 people.
