According to Japanese media reports, there are more fireflies flying in various parts of Miyazaki Prefecture this year than in previous years, dotting the night sky beautifully. According to relevant people, this is mainly due to the sunny weather and high temperatures, which is conducive to the continuation of the day of firefly feathering, and the increase in a kind of snail as a larval bait is also a major reason.

According to reports, in the Ayana River, near the Teruye Grand Suspension Bridge in Ayacho, the prefecture reportedly has countless fireflies flying around within a 3-kilometer radius during the peak period from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. The pale green glow almost fills the riverside forest and forms a reflection on the surface of the water. It is reported that fireflies can be seen here from May 11 this year, one week earlier than last year.
