On December 30, the Municipal Red Cross Society held its fifth general meeting of members. Cai Lixin, secretary of the municipal party committee, and Qi Dunpin, secretary of the party group and executive vice president of the provincial Red Cross Society, attended the opening ceremony of the conference and delivered speeches. Second, it is necessary to serve the overall situation throughout the performance of duties. Qi Dunpin fully affirmed the achievements made by the Huai'an Red Cross Society in recent years, and believed that the Huai'an Red Cross Society adheres to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, closely focuses on the center and serves the overall situation, extensively mobilizes social forces, conscientiously performs statutory duties, solidly promotes reform and innovation, achieves gratifying results in various work, and demonstrates the fraternity of the huai'an people with practical actions, and shows the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation in helping the poor and helping the needy and being willing to do good.
He put forward ardent expectations for the development of the Red Cross cause in our city from three aspects: strengthening political guidance, always keeping the correct political direction, focusing on the main business, accelerating the construction of a humanitarian service system, deepening reform and innovation, and vigorously promoting the modernization of the governance system and governance capabilities.
The meeting commended 12 advanced Red Cross work collectives such as the Red Cross Society of Huaiyin Normal University, 16 advanced individuals in Red Cross work such as Chen Junxiu, and 14 outstanding Red Cross volunteers such as Fan Jinhu.
