On October 20, a staff member of the Political and Legal Committee of the Zhangxian County Party Committee told The Paper (www.thepaper.cn) that they had previously received reports from the man concerned, and the specific situation was investigated by the county public security bureau.
The Surging News previously reported that Xiao Chen, a villager in Chengguan Village, Wuyang Town, Zhangxian County, Dingxi City, Gansu Province, said that on the evening of August 14, he and his girlfriend encountered a man dressed in black on the street scolding people, suspected of being drunk. They ignored them and went forward, but their girlfriend was touched on the face and neck by a man in black while tying her shoelaces on the side of the road. After he spoke out to stop it, he was verbally abused and beaten by the man in black, resulting in an injury to his left eye. After the incident, Xiao Chen called the police and reported the situation to the local discipline inspection commission, political and legal committee, and other departments. At present, there is no investigation into the matter. Xiao Chen also said that after inquiring, he learned that the man who beat the person was Dong Moujun, deputy director of the Zhangxian County Public Security Bureau.
According to the official website of the Zhangxian Government on August 19, 2020, Dong Moujun is currently a member of the party committee, deputy director and first-class police chief of the county public security bureau.
