The media revealed that Alfa Romeo has abandoned Giovinaz Zhou Guanyu's rivals are still two people left Giovinaz out of the Zhou Guanyu into the 3-man competition

Over the past few weeks, the discussion about Alfa Romeo's last driver's seat next season has suddenly become quiet, and after Andretti's failed acquisition of Sauber, the media recently revealed that Alfa Romeo has made a decision not to choose Giovinaz as next season's driver.

While most people don't expect Giovinaz to remain in Alfa Romeo, it's still not entirely certain.

Swiss media said it was only a matter of time before Giovinaz was out. The 27-year-old Italian has reached an agreement with team leader Wasser, but it has not yet been officially announced.

According to media analysis, the decisive factor that led to its exit was the successive mistakes made at the Turkish Grand Prix, when Giovinaz ignored the team's instructions and left the team with a chance to win points.

At the American Grand Prix, the team also asked Giovinaz to give way, and this time he followed the instructions. If there had been a revolt this time, they might have been sent away long ago.

Alfa Romeo's current goal is clear, to find a new partner for Bottas, while the current 3 candidates are all in f2.

One is Chinese driver Zhou Guanyu, who is said to be able to bring a sponsorship to the team, but because Zhou Guanyu asked for a 3-year long contract, But Alfa Romeo was unwilling, so it was still in a stalemate.

The other two candidates are Australian Piastri and Sauber's own-bred Bushel, both very young and the team has been saying they can gain some more experience in F2.

Wasser still wants to wait for the results of the final two races of F2 before deciding on a candidate, meaning that Alfa Romeo will not confirm Bottas' new partner until mid-December.
