According to Malaysia's "Sin Chew Daily", a group of mountaineering enthusiasts in Malaysia were trapped in The Gunung Liang Mountain due to the soaring volume of the river. It is understood that these 37 climbers include 24 ethnic Chinese and 13 Ethnic Malays. After receiving the report, the law enforcement officers immediately launched an operation and successfully rescued all the trapped people after 6 hours.

On September 8, local time, a climbing team composed of 37 climbers went to Liangshan for mountaineering activities. On the way, they tried to cross the sungai dara, but the river kept rising, leaving the climbing team stranded in the mountains.

After receiving the alarm, the Tanjung Marin Elimination Bureau, together with the Muarin Police, the Shilin River Volunteer Fire Brigade, the ForestRy Bureau and the Civil Defence Team, launched a search operation on the evening of the 8th to find the trapped people according to the mountain climbing route. After 6 hours of searching, search and rescue personnel found the trapped people 4 kilometers after the hiking route and rescued them all down the mountain.

Mr. Mualin Police District Chief Mr. Wankamaru said that due to the rapid flow of the river, the rescue team had to wait for the water level of the river to drop before using ropes and life jackets to help the trapped people cross the river. At present, the trapped person has undergone a simple physical examination.

It is reported that among the 37 climbers, 24 ethnic Chinese and 13 Ethnic Malays are included. Among them, 5 Chinese are from Selangor, 9 are from Seri Kembangan, 10 are from Negeri Sembilan, and 13 are from Perak. (Cai Qiuyi)
