On May 18, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Guangdong Province issued the "2021 "I Do Practical Things for Lychee Farmers" Implementation Plan" to form a "battle map" for lychee marketing in the province, unify coordination, zoning guidance, and establish a working account to speed up the production and marketing circulation of lychee.
According to this "battle map", from early May to early July, litchi in four large areas of Guangdong Province, West Guangdong, Pearl River Delta, Guangzhou and East Guangdong, was listed. As one of the earliest listed production areas, the lychee production in the western Guangdong area this year is expected to reach 770,000 tons, which is the largest production area in the province and the largest sales pressure. At present, the main varieties listed in the area are concubine smile and white sugar poppy.
From west to east, lychees in the Pearl River Delta area will be available from late May to mid-June. The lychee "wrong peak" in the Guangzhou area will be listed from late June, and the main varieties are guiwei, glutinous rice fin and huaizhi. Lychees in the eastern Guangdong area are the latest to ripen, and the total output is expected to rank second in the province with a total output of 220,000 tons; in recent years, the increasingly famous lychee variety Xian Jinfeng will be listed in early July.
Suixi lychees are basically sold out

In just two weeks by May 24, 20,000 mu of lychees in Suixi County were basically sold out. According to the statistics of Suixi County Agricultural and Rural Bureau, the lychees planted in Suixi this year are mainly concentrated in Wutang Town, and the production is expected to increase by more than 20%. At present, 90% of Wutang lychees have been sold, and the sales of lychees in the county are nearing the end. The average purchase price of lychees this year is about 8-12 yuan / kg, the initial part of the listing reached 12-16 yuan / kg, and the income of some high-quality lychee orchards per mu of land was nearly 10,000 yuan, which generally exceeded the expectations of farmers.
"Although our lychee planting area is not large and the yield is not large, the demonstration effect is very strong." Gaozhou Lychee successfully took over the baton
