He was the grandson of the university scholar Pan Shien. Together with Pan Shi'en and Pan Shihuan, he is known as the "Three Masters of Suzhou" in calligraphy. During the Guangxu period, the official to the Ministry of Works Shangshu, several palms of the Wenheng Hall examination, in the South Study For nearly forty years. In the collecting world, people call him "Pan Shen Eye". His collection of national treasure-level cultural relics Da Lu Ding currently exists in the China History Museum, and Da Ke Ding is currently stored in the Shanghai Museum, which is the supreme in China's bronze collection.

(1830-1891) Qing Dynasty official, calligrapher, and bibliophile. The characters are in the bell, the small characters Fengsheng, the trumpet Boyin, also known as Shaotang and Zheng Yi. A native of Wu County (present-day Suzhou, Jiangsu), he is the author of "Pangulou Yi Instrument Illustration", "Huan Xi Zhai Series", and "GongshunTang Series".
