The non-1-year-old lyretail medaka is called the chief destroyer because it lays eggs close to the water, but also at the bottom if there is a proper spawning place.
Spawning males usually repeatedly boast of courtship in pursuit of females, females: on the one hand, they have to get rid of the pursuit, and on the other hand, they have to find the right spawning place.
At this time, the male will attack the female, after a few seconds the two sides suddenly separate, while laying eggs and sperm, the eggs are sticky filaments, can be attached to the object, so encounter aquatic weeds and so on tightly attached.
As for the water temperature, depending on the type of fish, it varies somewhat, and it can hatch in about 2 weeks to 20 days.
If you want the aquatic weeds to grow densely in the feeding box, but the eggs will be attached to the aquatic weeds, and if the aquatic weeds are taken out one by one and then the eggs are collected, this step is very troublesome, and this is also a great harm to the aquatic weeds, so wait for the eggs to hatch.
Hatched juveniles will float on the surface of the water about 4 to 5 mm, and when found, they can be immediately sucked out with a straw and moved to a glassware to raise separately from their parents.
Put mud moss or sand grains into glassware and place them inside the sink as a fertility bed, instead of aquatic weeds so that it can lay eggs.
As for the peat, it is pre-immersed in water, and the glassware is removed every other week to confirm that the mud moss in the glassware has eggs, and then it is placed in the sink and covered for hatching, and then the other glassware is placed in the new mud moss and relocated
If you place sand grains, it is very difficult to remove the eggs. When adding water to the sink where the eggs are laid, the eggs should be moved to another glassware for preservation. It is more appropriate to wash the original sand grains and then put them back into the sink
In addition, if the sand grain is not clear, and when using peat, even if the sink is equipped with aquatic weeds, the eggs will still be laid in the mud moss and the aquatic weeds will be abandoned.
In addition to mud moss and sand grains, towels made of chemical fiber wool are very conducive to egg collection.
The wool of the chemical fiber can be disinfected with hot water, and its length can be cut so that it does not exceed the surface of the water, and it is tied, and the styrene is added to the sink one after another.
If there is a male in the courtship period, the female who is incubating can immediately start spawning.
After the egg is determined, until the egg is fixed, you must wait for 2 hours, you can gently break the towel, because the egg is very strong after fixation, so you can grasp the glassware with your fingers and move it elsewhere In addition to the use of peat, if the egg is not moldy, a small amount of hypomethyl blue can be added to stain.
Because peat absorbs methyl blue, it cannot achieve the effect. The peat itself has a little bactericidal power, so it is not necessary to use egg picking to glassware within 3 days, it must be checked every day to pick out the moldy white eggs. In the future, it is not necessary to check from time to time.
Hatching begins around 2 weeks after childbirth, and the size of the juvenile fish should be moved to other glassware or lidded tanks, which is about 56 mm in size on average.
Because it will immediately start to eat bait, salt ice should be added to hatching: water brine is easier for juvenile fish to sink, so the water depth of the covered aquarium is best maintained at about 1cm, so that the juvenile fish are easy to eat.
Feed the bait twice in the morning and evening, even if you give too much, do not let it remain.
If there is any remaining situation, it must be removed immediately. The handling of the residual bait is very important when the body length is about 2cm, that is, it begins to gradually change color.
If the speed is fast, it can be used to distinguish between male and female. When it grows to 3cm, most of them can recognize gender.
However, after many hardships and painstaking cultivation, it was found that the sex of all fish was either all male or all female.
The real reason for this is still unclear. But we can speculate that the question of sex concentration seems to have a lot to do with the temperature from spawning to hatching.
Fish are found in the south and must spawn at a certain temperature, and if it is above or below this temperature, the resulting fish must be inclined to male or female.
Therefore, eggs must be laid under the roots of trees with stable temperatures. It sounds simple, but it's difficult to do.
